Good deal. Perfect to practice.
Mutes very well and I can play at midnight while my mom tries to sleep in next room and the window is open to the hood. My fiddle is too loud and I’m a slow learner so it functions to mute the squaks of my Squakavarious as Dad called it. Great value of my favorite mutes. I use the small mute to noodle for notes in session. Not kicked out yet. Easy to use in an instant and the tone is not good. I place it on bridge between A and E usually for loudness and e string sound at practice loudness and e string sound. Mutes very well and I can play ay midnight while my mom tries to sleep next room. . It might help protect my ears. Quality is great and as I travel a lot and mutes can get lost easily. It functions well for my purposes and use.

REAL HELPFUL to reduce dBs
These are pretty high quality mutes, I'm using two of the single (smaller in the picture) mutes across the bridge to keep the dBs under control. I'll still use the steel bridge mute I previously owned since these full rubber bridge mutes don't reduce enough dB for my left ear. But they're good and do the job, they grip well and are easy to place on and off - sliding them back and they'll stay held by the two strings behind the bridge when not in use.

Mixd quality mutes!
This mute package is of mixed quality. The price is good despite problems. The round Tourte style mutes are rubber or rubberized plastic and easy to install and use. They don’t entirely dampen the sound but do tame an overly loud violin to the point where it blends easily with other instruments. They are easy to place over Tourte the bridge or move back toward the tailpiece, in the middle of a song if needed. They fit on both four and five string violins. On the other hand the claw style mutes are greasy and unusable until I find a solvent to get the tenacious grease off. They have legs made uneven with residual mold flashing which will need to be shaved off after I find out how to degrease them. Once all this is done they will fit on a four string violin but not a five string.

These are a good price and work well.
This work well, and the price is very good. I will share them with my middle school students.

Good value and saves budget money!
I’m a high school orchestra teacher and purchased three packs of these and hand out as needed for pieces requiring mutes. Much cheaper than ordering separate mutes from music stores, and same quality. Teachers—save your precious budget money and order these rather than purchasing individual mutes from music stores! Didn’t really need the large practice mutes, but figured they could just be “bonus” items or could give away to students when they use the excuse “I can’t practice at home because my parent(s) work(s) from home!” No more excuses…right?!? Bonus!

Good Deal, BUT...round mutes will fall off non stop, and you'll need to order more!
Overall good for practicing, but guarantee you'll lose them non stop! I am a long time musician and string teacher. Got these to stock up and give to orchestra members when they don't have them, which is great to store right in case. HOWEVER, this model (the round ones) will be lost almost every time you use them! With just a little tap, they fall off, and I can't tell you how many I have lost. The other shape/model ones are more secure on the strings when not using, so stay on better. But for sound quality, passes for mute tone for orchestra pieces. The LARGE mutes are great for practicing when you need to keep volume down, OR if you have a headache - so helpful for that. Overall, a great deal, but you'll go through the mini ones non stop because of them falling off your instrument when just holding it, putting away instrument in case, etc.

It isn't as effective as I expected
The practice mutes don't make much of a difference in the volume

Great value. The standard mutes are slightly smaller than usual making it harder to place on them on the bridge quickly during a performance.
