At Danner, they are craftsmen. They pay attention to details. They forgo quantity for quality, with the knowledge that the boots they craft are no better than the hands that create them.

They seem to run a bit narrow and can be hard to slide your foot into (even if you order one size up); EE may be the way to go
1st day observations:Its difficult to get one's foot into the boot. I normally wear a size 13D, but I got these in size 14D because its all they had and the price was great.I initially tried them on with NO laces while wearing cotton calf high athletic crew socks. Even though they are one size big, it was difficult to get my fppt down the throat of the boot; the fact they didn't have a pull tab made it a bit harder.Once I got the boot on the fit was pretty good with wiggle room in the toe box area and no vertical slip in the heel. But the extra length did allow some room to slide forward in the boot under heavy load. Had I bought a size 13 i suspect that it would have been near impossible to get these boots on. My best guess is the in these boots its best to order wide, but going 1 size up will also work.

New Danner Boots?
I purchased 'new' Danner USAF 600 gram boots...Trusting Amazon would deliver just that. NEW Danner USAF boots. Unfortunately, although the boots appear to be 'new,' they also appear to be mix and matched and/or returned/repaired. The right boot suede is flat brushed and slightly broken in, while the left boot is stiff, rough napped and poorly finished at the sole. Other than the basic style and color... THEY DON'T MATCH.I've owned MANY sets of Danner boots. Danner builds great footwear with impeccable attention to detail. I DO NOT believe these boots are new from the factory Danner boots.Buyer beware!

The boots fit great. I'm a big and Corky
The boots fit great. I'm a big and Corky. But they are winter boots. There would be five stars but there's no pulltab in the back. That makes it a slight pain when putting them on

Best boot I've ever worn.
This boot is amazing. It's comfortable, a great weight, looks absolutely amazing in uniform and has a certain class to it unique to the brand.Being made in the USA, it exceeded my best expectations. I will buy more as soon as my size is available again.

Comfortable and very warm
Comfortable and very warm. Part of a leather on the right foot is not in very good condition. But for a military boots they are consistent to expect.

Danner USA made.
Typical excellent Danner quality. Only thing I don't like about these is that they don't have a loop on the top of the boot to help pull them on like my Danner Acadias do.
