Great Clock Displays
I purchased the 5-piece, .56 inch, multi-color, 7 segment, 4-digit LED display set. They arrived promptly, in ESD safe bags, with right angle connection pins. The connection pins are shipped separate from the assembly, and must be soldered on by the user. The main description clearly states that these are clock displays. They have a semicolon, or “double dots”, between the second and third digit. Even though it appears like they also have decimal points for each digit, they are non-functional. If you need decimal points, do not purchase these. If you need a clock display, then this is the display for you. Now after saying all of that, I must point out that the “Top highlights” and “Additional details” sections of the Amazon web page contain erroneous information. Those sections state “The display features decimal points per digit.” This is incorrect and should be removed. The decimal points are non-functional. The semicolon feature is functional. The display assemblies utilize the 5643xx quad digit LED display part. The trailing letters indicate the LED color of the part. (e.g. 5643BY is a yellow LED part) The assemblies contain an area of the PWB silk-screened with the various LED colors available. Using an appropriate permanent marker, etc., you can indicate the color of each assembly for easy future reference. (See attached photos.) I tested all 5 of the displays I received, and all 5 functioned perfectly. The intensity of the individual LED segments was evenly matched across the display. The displays have good off axis visibility, and the brightness control feature of each display worked well. The construction processes and solder connections seem to be decent and typical for this type of product. Overall, I am very satisfied with these displays. I would recommend them to anyone requiring 7 segment displays with the semicolon feature.

Simple path to a DYI digital clock
I used these to make a small digital desk clock based on an ESP32. Time is obtained through an NTP server. I like the programmable dimming function as well as the flexible of display formats. So far, it has worked perfectly and I would not hesitate to purchase for future projects.

Dots do not work. The color is not actually green.
Dots do not work. I was expecting a green display but it turned out to be a more yellowish color.

Misleading description, but functioning very well.
Completely misleading. Says there are decimals for each digit but they do not work....as many have indicated in reviews. I didn't try this feature soon enough and now the window has closed to return them. After putting them to use, they perform reliably and with brightness adjustment available via code. Have used underscore character in place of decimal where absolutely necessary. Good for the price. Just need to adjust the description regarding decimal display. AI answer also states misleading feature when asked, btw.

One was DOA, a piece missing, otherwise pretty good
One of them didn't work, right out of the box. There was also a strip of pins missing from the pack, no big deal seeing as I had a dead unit. I'm using the Grove 4-Digit Display library and it works GREAT. The underside has "White Blue Green Red Yellow" printed on it, not sure what that's about - maybe just a generic board to which they attach the LEDs. I'd probably buy these again if the need arose especially at around $2 each (if they all worked). A pair of these should serve me well with my homemade MIDI Channel Changer project as I'll be able to display the incoming and outgoing channels at the same time and still be able to read it with my old eyes. and LCD works, too, but it's so much smaller.

Hit or miss
They work but I've had multiple displays just not work

Works ok, but the DPs do not work.
The modules seem to work ok. The issue I have is the DPs do not work. I really needed decimal points for my project and this seems to be a common issue with most of these modules.
