Product has glittery gold finish, as sprayed on. One hinge was broken when we opened. Not high quality but for the price it is pretty & serves the purpose of covering up an old fireplace

It's not as gold as it appears in the picture...I like it though for the price. Nice piece

All the other reviews are correct. The paint job is splotchy and the quality is mediocre-to-poor. But for the price, as compared to other fire screens, it gets the job done. And once you can get it to stand up (it's a little wonky), it looks nice and does the job.

It's a nice idea, but poorly executed. The "antiquing" looks like a really thin gold paint was wiped on a silver surface. Almost looks more silver than gold. One hinge works great, the other seems to be stuck causing the frame to bend and warp. The finer mesh is not smooth and ripples on the back side. It was inexpensive, but too much wrong to try to fix.

Cheaply made, lots of small flaws, NOT gold but silver/ grey in person. You get what you pay for so buy something better made.
