Ivygreen Kids Hydration Backpack, Hiking Backpack for Boys or Girls with 1.5L Water Bladder

I love hiking and wanted to encourage my 4-year-old son to join me. He regularly does short 1–2 mile hikes, but even though I always packed water for him, he only wanted to drink from my hydration pack. I bought this so he could feel like he had his own hydration pack, and it’s worked perfectly. It is heavy when filled full with water, so at first I filled the bladder with only 500 ml. I gradually increased the amount as he got more comfortable. Now he carries his own water the entire hike. The backpack is the perfect size for a 4-year-old, and the water bladder holds more than enough for a 2-mile hike plus room for a couple snacks. It's easy enough for him to open the cover on the hydration straw and drink by himself. The quality has been really good. We've had it for just under a year now and have taken it on hikes, road trips, and camping trips with no issues. We even took it through the airport once. There have been no problems with seams, zippers, or rips, and the hydration bladder has never leaked. It’s worked so well that we also use it on road trips as his main water source. People on the hiking trails often comment on his backpack, and I’ve even had friends ask where I got it. Overall, it’s been a great purchase for encouraging independence and getting my kid excited about hiking.

5/5 This backpack is perfect for little kids: not too big, not too heavy, and it lets them feel like they’re really contributing by carrying their own water bottle and snacks. The chest strap is comfortable, the whistle is a fun bonus, and the insulated pocket is handy even if you don’t use the hydration bladder. Ideal first backpack for a toddler or young child.

Worked out great for my daughter at Disney world. She liked having control of her drink and that she could take a sip at any time. The extra pockets were perfect for holding her card for lightening lanes and a few other essentials. Was light weight enough (even when bladder was full) that she didn’t complain about carrying it. The kids size fit her body well. She’s 7. Will probably use it again in the summer for hiking and other outdoor adventures.

I really like this backpack for hiking and playground trips. Both my 3 year old and my 9 year old have one of these. They are a great size and adjust well for any age. The backpack itself is high quality. Easy to use zippers. Great design for the straw placement. Zipper works well and is quality. Plenty of room for water, lunch, and an epi pen! It really helps when we do long hikes to have the kids carry their own food and water. The actual water container is just okay. I replaced it with a higher quality pack. The water leaked out the fill spout multiple times. The cap broke off the straw after the second use.

My 6 year old daughter loves it. She uses the hydration system and carries it with her lunch & snacks as we hike the U.S. national parks! Highly recommend for kids.

I bought this for my daughter for a trip to Disney World in 2022 (blue). We have used it several times over the past year. I like that she can pack a change of clothes, a jacket, and/or snacks. The bladder has held up quite well. My only complaint is that the bite valve will leak if not properly closed. She broke the plastic piece connecting the valve cover to the tube, but that is not a huge deal.

Fit my 7 year old perfect

I got this for my granddaughter for when my daughter and her family go on hikes. She had a couple for her other 2 kids already and needed a 3rd. She loves these and says they work amazingly. The kids can carry them on their backs and use them freely so they must be comfortable and easy to transport.

Outer pack is great but the water bladder started leaking on first use!

This bag is so sweet for kids who love to hike and be outdoors. The zippers work really well and the bag is amazing quality. Nice padding on the back and we love the little whistle on the back clip! Lots of great pockets! I took a star off as the dust cover is quite hard to remove from the straw and the bag was a little smaller than I anticipated given the price.
