Satisfying Patterns Colouring Book

This book is fantastic! There are many many videos available showing the pages of this book, both on YT and TT, so I won't bother to do a walk-through of it. The patterns are clever, things I would never have thought of. But they're NOT intricate at all; mostly just chunky geometric shapes, etc. This book can be as simple or as complicated as you would like to make it, and both are perfectly acceptable. The paper is not tremdously thick, but it does okay even with my alcohol markers, as long as you remember to put a few sheets of paper or cardstock behind the page you are working on. You could color it with markers, colored pencils or even crayons (water-based markers might shred the paper; experiment at your own risk). I bought two of them, one for my daughter, who had this on her wish list for a while and became a little obsessed with watching one particular colorist on TT who creates incredible pages!! It wasn't really on my radar but I love to buy us the same books so we can share and compare our work (just for fun), so I got myself one, too. I didn't do the best job with my first page, but it's a learning curve I'm happily in line for!

Satisfying, yes. Fun, yes. Coloring, yes.

Love the simple patterns. Pages are thin so if you’re using markers then I would put a sheet behind it so it doesn’t bleed through.

The patterns in this coloring book are spot on. They are so simple while giving you creative freedom and ideas. Definitely a stress reliever if you enjoy coloring. I have been using alcohol markers and it does bleed through but I just put a piece of paper behind the page in coloring. I bought the volume 2 book as well and will write a review compared to this one.

Love this book and was super excited to get it in the mail. But my only complaint is that the paper is really thin so make sure you have something underneath the page your coloring.

I love the patterns in this book so much but the outline of the patterns is pretty sheer and if you use any kind of dark marker it bleeds through the outline as it’s dark grey ish and not solid black so the patterns don’t end up looking all that great as you can see the marker lines in the outline. Other than that, really good patterns but I would like to be able to use all of the colors and not have to be so careful when getting close to the outline. I wish it was printed darker and more solid.
