Not the worst out there, but far from the best. The tape itself is weak and breaks easily. As for ease of use, I’m not sure where the issue lies, but the tape doesn’t stick to the roller. Instead, it sticks to the metal plate, which means you have to pull the tape by hand and manually apply it to the box (or whatever surface you’re taping). On the first pull, you also need to use your other hand to hold the tape in place, otherwise it won’t stay put while pulling. I’ll just buy 3M Scotch tape and use it with this dispenser instead.

While the tape itself is excellent – strong, reliable, and very quiet when unrolling – the included dispenser lets this set down badly. Unfortunately, the dispenser doesn’t hold the tape in place properly. The roll keeps slipping back into the housing, making it frustrating to use. Basically, the metal bit that is meant to hold the tape section between the roll and the blade is not spring-loaded like any other dispenser. This means that after you tilt and cut the tape, the inertia spins the roll of tape back, and that just pulls all the tape out of the dispenser. Hard to explain, but basically, forget about the dispenser; it's horrible. I ended up having to hold the roll manually or re-feed the tape every time I needed a piece, which defeats the point of having a dispenser in the first place. It feels flimsy and not well designed for the size or weight of the tape. If you just need good quality, low-noise packaging tape, the rolls themselves are worth buying. But don’t count on the dispenser to make your life easier – you might be better off pairing the tape with a sturdier dispenser from elsewhere.
