Enjoyed Using My Powerful New Toy
Purchased this two months ago and I've already used it a few times. It arrived in good shape. We had no issues with assembling. Started right up. I've used it two times and it has worked fantastic. Does not take up very much space in my garage. I am pleased with the purchase and would recommend this chipper to others. Only slight negatives thus far: the instructions for starting and stopping are multi-step and can be difficult to remember without referencing the manual. Also, the blade jammed up once with small needles when I was running some fresh evergreen limbs through (no issues when I gave the machine a few extra seconds to process between evergreen limbs). Not big enough issues to change my satisfaction. Also, I noticed some reviews about power concerns. My machine had no issues with the 2-3” thick limbs. It was kind of fun feeding them in and seeing the machine make quick work of them.

Works well for a home owner, not heavy-duty.
Wasn't sure how beefy this unit was going to be But for a home owner it's good for the price. Just had an oak cut down and ran some branches thru it, seems to do a good job chips came out nice and small. Found that feeding it slowly works well. Picked up extra blades, found they weren't as sharp as the installed ones. Just remember this is not a industrial unit. Don't forget hearing protection and gloves. Will update if I have any issues. Also it's easy to assemble 13 and 10mm wrenches and socket, it took about 20 minutes. 8/16/25. We have had a lot of rain recently, this unit has a problem with wet leaves. The wood will go thru with no problem, but if there are leaves on the branches it will clog the shute in a heartbeat. The chip bag is not designed very well you have to tie it to the shute, what a pain. Other than those minor problems I still feel the unit was worth the price.

Works well, but a bit pricey
This is really nice, a little pricey but we bought it for my mother in laws house. Nice size, cuts right through the branches unless their not dry, then it jams and shuts down.

Well built and seems to do the job
The entire machine was delivered in one large box. Instructions for assembly were straightforward: All nuts and bolds came in numbered packages. It took me about an hour to assemble, but about half the time was spent looking for the correct wrenches. The motor came attached to the main cutter assembly, so it was relatively heavy to lift out of the box by myself. I should have had another person to help. When I was done with assembly, I looked in the main box and found a small plastic knurled knob. I have no idea what it is for. It isn't shown anywhere in the parts manual. I had to chuckle to myself when I was putting on the tires. The tires say they are not intended for highway use. (Oh, darn, I do my best chipping when I'm on the highway!) I was surprised that (after adding gas and oil) the engine started on the first pull. I usually only buy stuff like this with either Briggs-Stratton, Kohler, or Honda engines. This engine is made in China but seems to be OK. I had a 75-foot tall long-needle pine tree come down in a recent storm, so I purchased this chipper to help remove the debris. After running the chipper for several hours, I feel there are a couple of things the manufacturer could improve on this machine. A slide under the hopper needs to be pulled out to use the hopper. When I first started the engine, I noticed the slide rattled and made a fair bit of unnecessary noise. When I pulled out the slide and started using the hopper, after several minutes, the machine vibration would cause it to slide shut. I used a pair of vice grips to hold it open. This is a minor inconvenience. Several times, I may have fed too much material into the hoppers, and the discharge shoot clogged up. I found that when I slowed down I didn't have this problem. There is a learning curve using this machine. When using you should definitely wear hearing and eye protection. Chipping is a very noisy task and chips fly everywhere. Also, avoid wearing loose and baggy clothing. Safety First!

Well made, good bang for your bucks.
Easy to assemble, but you will need to have two 13mm wrenches. Started right up and makes short work of branches and leaves. Wish I had bought one ten years ago.

Expected better for $500
The cowling was partially caved in and starting sounds awful. the large bin was bent and two wear marks on the inside of the bin all the way to the metal. Drips gas like crazy. I expect when we spend $500 that we not receive something that needs repairs right away.

Not 20:1 as advertised
This is not a 20:1 reduction as advertised it's 15:1. It was easy to assemble need 2 13mm wrenchs since a couple of bolts can't be tightened with a socket. The handle bolts are 10mm. The manual for the motor says to use 15-40 the chipper manual says 10-30 I used 15-30. It started right up a ran good put a 2 branch through it easy. It should be fine but I knocked 2 stars off because I picked it because of the 20:1 advertising
