a must buy for old school gamers
what a great nostalgic, portable and fun system to own! the capcom games that came preloaded on the handheld system are awesome and most are classics. secondly, the price the system is attainable at makes it a no brainer to buy. the games are loaded into the hand held unit and comes with a yellow dummy cart to keep dust out of the unit. if looking to add to your library, be sure to get the data east cart, lots of great games at an affordable price. im impressed by the quality of the play on the screen, the navigation thru menus and the overall build of the unit. my only negatives on it would be when using other carts that you purchase separately, theyre white which doesnt match the handheld. additionally, i found its size to not be the most comfortable-i have large hands and find it difficult to use the back shoulder buttons effectively while using the buttons on the front simultaneously due to their placement in the lower half of the back vs having them up higher.

So cool!
I got this super pocket because I was drawn to playing 1943, a favorite when I was a kid. The fact that it can take Evercade cartridges is really special too. (I’m waiting to getBitmap Brothers 2, which will be my first one.) I love not having to depend on WiFi or needing the internet or having to mess with AA or AAA batteries because this has a charging cable for the internal battery. (It can go for several hours without needing a recharge). Playing it is easy. You literally just turn it and it is ready. Nice bright screen and the speakers work well. The level of difficulty can be adjusted (easy and normal). You can use headphones with a standard headphone jack. A very cool selling point is the save states. You can literallly save the game at any specific moment you choose and go back to that exact spot at any time you wish. Very cool!!

Some good, some bad.
Pros: Size: It fits in your pocket! Screen clarity: Awesome quality. Evercade cartridge compatibility: I can play a lot of retro games (especially Intellivison) to my hearts content. Battery: I've done a couple of days of casual playing, and I'm only down one of four bars of my battery from a full charge. Cons: Bumper button design. You can't really press them without pressure on the front of the chassis, so you can wind up accidentally pressing the D-Pad or action buttons a lot. It also seemed like the first choice was L2/R2 when implementing them in games, even though L1/R1 are far easier to press. Inability to remap controls: A lot of the games appear to be ports directly from the arcade ROMs, so they lack the ability to remap controls like home console versions did. A glaring example is SF2 Hyper. The heavy punches and kicks are hard-locked to L2 and R2 respectively, which are the two hardest buttons to hit without accidentally pressing something else. I'd remap them to Y and B in a heartbeat, expect I don't have the ability to do that since every control is hard-locked to whatever the developers decided. Audio: The front-facing speaker is 3.6 Roentgen. Not great, not terrible I mean, it's still 60 bucks for the base system, which is awesome. If at all possible to have a firmware update that allowed for button mapping (for at the very least, the onboard Capcom games so I could realistically have a shot in SF2 Hyper), it'd be a home run.

Fun little handheld
My son had a choice of another gameboy or this. He chose the Super Pocket! He loves it. No need to buy AA batteries It is rechargeable with usb c and the Battery lasts him all day. It has a nice bright screen and audio is fine. I do recommend getting a case to put it in to help protect it. You can by Evercade carts with multiple games on the cartridge to use with it to expand the game library. It's a win win.

Znakomita rozrywka retro. Bardzo dobra jakość.

I would love to give this a higher rating as I like the concept. Big minuses for me is that you can’t change the controls. You can only view their setup, and that’s it. Also, the unit is too small for an adult set of hands. Weird choice since the target audience probably is 40+ males who grew up with these games.

Excelentes juegos aún cuando el mando es complicado y los botones de atrás están muy juntos

This is the second device I’ve bought from Hyper Mega Tech/Evercade, the first being the Taito Super Pocket, and I am extremely happy with it. The device has great build, good design and a nice selection of capcom games for an amazing price. The build quality of the handheld is great. It feels solid in the hand, has a nice weight and it’s the perfect size for on the go gaming. It’s comfortable to hold during games and the buttons are nice and responsive, the D pad is very responsive and has a good feel. The only drawback I’d say is the buttons on the reverse of the device. They are not the easiest to use, but it’s fortunate that only a couple of games, as far as I can tell make use of these. The display is nice and bright, with good bowing angles and colors. Its small size has not bothered me at all considering how close you hold the device anyhow. It would be nice to have the option to change the brightness levels. Sound is pretty decent for a mono speaker and is nice and loud; I’d actually say I’d like it if the volume could go a little lower for night time gaming etc. at least there is a headphone jack. The battery life so far has been superb and as per the 4 plus hours claim. Your mileage may vary depending on the games played etc The game selection is superb considering the price point of the device and that all of them except mega man are arcade originals. Standouts for me include street fighter, final fight, strider, captain commando, ghouls and ghosts, and 1943. The only criticism is maybe some of the shoot ‘em up games are more suited to a taller screen… but there’s only a few of them and i really didn’t mind using the display options to stretch to full screen for these. It doesn’t look that bad and I think it makes them much more playable on this size of screen. The best thing regarding the games is that these are all fully licensed games… no downloading ROMs from dodgy websites and the developers get paid the money they deserve. It’s a win win. All in all it’s an awesome device for the price and I look forward to future releases of such devices from this company.
