We live a short distance from a water pumping station and sometimes especially in the morning if you make a hot drink using unfiltered water it tastes absolutely disgusting and nobody wants to drink it, not a good start to the day! Using these water filters ensures we get great tasting drinks every time and definitely improves the quality of the water. The filters are easy to use and long lasting. The filter jug fits nicely in my fridge providing a constant supply of decent water. We have tried cheaper cartridges but they are not nearly so good as Brita cartridges so now only buy Brita cartridges and recycle them once used which is much better for the environment than buying bottled water. Brita definitely are the best.

These BRITA MAXTRA PRO Pure Performance Filters are a reliable choice for daily use. The taste of the water is good, making a noticeable improvement over tap water. The filter operates relatively quickly, so waiting for water isn't an issue. I typically keep a single filter for 2 to 3 weeks before needing a replacement. I performed a separate water test and confirmed that the filters remove contaminants well. The only slight observation is that the filtered water remains a little on the hard side (still high in minerals), but overall, they are good in principle and serve their main purpose perfectly.

This water filter cartridge is effective and provides peace of mind. I have noticed a significant reduction in scale in my kettle, which is important for me with a small baby in the house. The cartridge is very straightforward to replace in my BRITA jug. While it is not an inexpensive product, the benefit of cleaner water for my family makes it a worthwhile purchase. I’ve been using BRITA MAXTRA PRO Pure Performance filters for around two years, and they have been very reliable. The water tastes noticeably cleaner, with chlorine smell and aftertaste greatly reduced. Tea and coffee also taste better. They work well in reducing limescale, which has helped protect my kettle and coffee machine, especially in a hard-water area. Installation is easy, the fit is perfect, and each cartridge lasts close to the claimed lifespan. The 6-pack is good value for regular use. They are slightly more expensive than generic alternatives, but the consistent performance and improved taste make them worth it. Overall, a product I trust and would recommend.
