Update: the round magnetic won’t stick on for more than 5 minutes. Even after “wetting it and allow it to dry” it does not work! I received it today and The windshields will not stay on. It keeps falling off. I’m scared of taking it out and losing the windshield. other than that I love the case for the camera. If there anyway I can get an exchange?

I mean, it's just a camera cage. Nothing special. It does what it's supposed to, holds the camera in place. I'm not using the mic puff things, as I use an external plugged in wireless mic. But the magnets that stick around the mics to make the puffs stay on, don't stick good at all. They come right off. But I'm not gonna use them anyway. Also the mic mount sucks for my mic. Wireless receivers don't tighten down like a mic would, so it won't stay in place. It just slips.out. I had to use tape on the mount to make it have a tighter space so that the receiver wasn't able to slide off anymore. But a normal mic that tightens will work just fine I'm it. So 4 stars, only because if I WERE to need the puffs, they aren't gonna stay on, and then having to use tape to make my mic receiver stay in place is annoying. Also I have a 2 sided mounting screw, so that you can screw one end into one thing, and then the other side into another, for example, putting a better mic mount on it. BUT the cage isn't thick enough. When it's all the way screwed in, the screw part is too long, so it can't go in all the way. Makes no sense why they'd make it thin enough to not be able to use those on it.

This is a great addition to make the new PowerShot V10 that much more useful. The included mini dead cat wind noise reducers are a great touch that should have been included in the base camera in my opinion. While the mounting solution is great that it is magnetic, it's too bad that metal ring wasn't built into the camera. The 4, 1/4" 20 threaded holes (one one the right, one on the bottom and two on the left) open up the possibilities for mounting the camera itself in all manner of ways, adding cold shoe accessories like lights and various other items. The case provides a bit of drop protection as there is a bit of padding on the interior of the cage. Not it's primary purpose, but every little bit helps when you are holding a near $500 camera in one hand. The cage fits the camera like a glove and the "lid" snaps very positively closed to keep the unit solidly attached. The included silicone lens cap and soft bag, while great, should have been included with the base camera too so I am happy to have them. The only drawback to this cage is that it makes getting to the kickstand a bit harder. The included piece of tape does address that, though its not the most elegant solution, it does work. Aside from that I have zero complaints about this camera cage. It's well made and adds much needed versatility to an already great video camera. Highly recommended.

I have ordered this product on two separate occasions. Both times, there were missing parts. Both times, only one of the furry mic shields came. I have returned this product twice now and will not be purchasing this product again.

This little kit has almost everything I need for my new PowerShot Canon camera I got recently. It first has a case / protector which is nice and fits great onto it. It comes with 5 attachments that go onto the case so you can use a tripod, microphone windshields and the camera lens cap is great for safety. Everything is mainly plastic, good quality plastic though. The windshields work great for sound but still keeps my voice clear and does help with the wind as long as its not too strong. They attach magnetically to the sticky pieces that stick onto the camera itself, so its easy to take them off but I would be careful to not pull on them in any way. The 2 tripod attachments are great and secure, theres 3 places to put them, I use the bottom one so I can record horizontally. And the cage is great, only thing is that it makes it more wide and have more angles, and the material isn't the same as the Canon but really for protection I see this holding up great, it stops the camera from dropping on the lens or sides to prevent scratches and dents, so I think that will be good for protection. For good value, I would say this is a go-to once you buy the camera for really all the attachments you would need.

For the amount paid for this product only satisfied with cage and lens cap and remaining stuff not felt good. Too much cost for the accessories providing.

Si tienes la Canon Poweshot V10 debes tener este accesorio sí o sí. La proteje y le puedes poner accesorios a tu cámara como micrófonos o lámparas ya que trae dos zapatas frias que se ponen y se quitan a gusto en varias posiciones. Trae un protector para el lente y parabrisas peludo para ambos micrófonos, además la cámara luce muy bien con esta jaula. De buena calidad, robusta y duradera. La recomiendo.
