I bought a gen 3 version of this for IWB holster, which was awesome to hold tight to my pants, but could not get around a belt, and I need to use a holster with a belt cause I don't have enough butt to hold everything up. This clip grabs the cloth almost as well and goes around a belt. I am using it for a holster. If you want to usually wear a belt and have it also grab cloth, this is the right item. If you want a clip to grab cloth only (for beltless wear or so a belt goes over top of it for extra concealment) then get the gen 3 version. It holds super tight to cloth. The ulticlip is a pretty amazing device in general. I just had to do trial and error to find the right version.

Very solid construction with easy attachment. The clamp is very stiff which some may find hard to open. It keeps my holster in place and fits my 1.5" belt nicely. It's a good option for those who want to replace an existing plastic belt clip.

Pros: It is definitely well built and a solid choice for some folks. The retention is fantastic. If those are your goals, this is for you. Cons: The 3 stars are mostly due to subjective factors. It isn't as convenient to use as a more simple belt clip and cost much much more. The cost benefit isn't there for me. The more objective reason is that the clip is so stiff it is difficult to use. I may find the application that I need it for, but for now it is removed from the Kydex sheath I had it on.

It does the job exactly as intended

I added these UltiClip XLs to 2 of my Foxx holsters... First off, the fit and finish is absolutely spot on. Secondly, the security that these clips provide, is second to none... I only have one gripe about this product... In order to release the clips while under tension, you have to really get it under your nail to lift the tab. In the future, I’d like to see a small tab added to the clip to assist in releasing the clip

Ich besitze viele Ulti-Clips, einfach die beste Art eine Messerhülle in der Hosentasche oder dem Hosenbund zu befestigen... Stabil, hält bombenfest... was will man mehr? Nix!

Nach einiger Zeit hat der Clip nicht mehr richtig gegriffen.(Mehrere Wochen tägliches tragen) Die Gürtelschlaufe passt nicht für jeden Gürtel.(Relativ schmal) Anonsten sehr gut vorallem für tiefes "Im Bund" tragen.
