Years ago my coworker suggested I take vitamins like this to help prevent cold sores. I thought it was a myth I thought it was too good to be true until one day I figured I needed to do something about my outbreaks because they hurt really bad And we’re very ugly and made people stare at me like there’s something really wrong with me. At that point I figured it couldn’t hurt. After I bought the bottle I probably only took one or two and thought nothing of it because I really didn’t believe in it. And one day without warning there was a bump on my face just one. I couldn’t understand it because usually there are several bumps in a cluster. I was afraid that it was going to become a cluster so I took the lysine every day and the bump remained a bump. Then the bump went away very quickly and that’s never happened ever.... only in my dreams. My issue is that I keep getting them. One bump after the other once one goes away. Never has this happened before. I don’t think it has anything to do with the lysine. But at least the lysine is helping it go away within a reasonable amount of time and not creating a huge problem on my face. I can leave the house and I’m not afraid to show my face in public like before.I’ve also noticed my appetite has curved. I used to try to eat everything from the second I woke up and throughout the day. I am a big snacker but I am not overweight at all... with snacking less I can shed unnecessary pounds accumulated from my uncontrollable snack urges. That is a lot of things under control from one supplement and its inexpensive. I am seriously amazed but the results because when you have outbreaks of cold sores all the time you just want to be looked at normal and not have the outbreak over take your face and keeps you from wanting to leave the house. My kids depend on me to be confident and available at all times. I have found something to make sure of that. I can’t believe it.

I have been taking this supplement for over 2 years now and don't plan on stopping anytime soon! I can say that it absolutely works. I used to break out with painful cold sores when my immune system would take a hit. Now, when I feel a small bump, that's all that comes out of it. This stuff stops it in its tracks!! Also, I used to get sick whenever someone else around me was, now that hardly happens! I do not take the recommended 1,500mg a day, I usually take one tablet in the morning but when I start to feel blah, I will take the recommended to get back on my feet and keep the cooties at bay! HOWEVER --- The taste is not good. I will try and take it with some iced tea or juice to mask the flavor. It's okay because the benefits definitely outweigh the taste!! Recommended!!

i take lysine every single day, for years and yearsit is my most common supplementso i thought why not try to supplement a few others in combinationthese really are amazingand i am sure they are really good for usbut they smell and taste very very strongi cannot under state thatand after taking themeven with foodi do get feedback from themwhich can be difficultnot sure if it is the garlicor maybe i got a bad batchbut youch

I don’t write very many reviews but I had to for this product, for the benefit of those who struggle with the herpes virus that flares through cold sores on the lips and nose. I contracted the virus in my early teens through sharing chapstick. Throughout my life I would get a cold sore every occasionally. It was very manageable. At 38 years old I started having flare ups more frequently. Early last year my flares went from 2 - 3 a year to 2-3 times a month. By fall 2019 the sores were nearly constant. I was absolutely losing my mind! I was taking this supplement for a couple days at the first sign of a sore, nothing more. It helped shorten the life of the sore but I was still getting them all the time and it was showing signs of progressing into multiple at a time, which rarely happened previously. So I decided to take the recommended dosage every day for a week to see if it helped. After 1 week of never missing a day, I was cold sore free. At week 2 I got 2 sores at the same time but they died quickly. Within 3 days they were gone, which was unheard of for me. My sores have always taken 7-10 days to heal. I have not stopped taking the dosage every day since and I have not had even one sore since. It has been 3 months and i am over the moon thrilled!!! The dosage is 3 capsules per day. Last week I scaled back to 2 capsules. So far so good. My hope is that I can gradually work myself off the supplement totally.For the last 2 years we have been through several back to back highly stressful events. I believe that the near constant stress kicked the virus into overdrive and needed a steady stream of lysine to rectify the problem. Things in my life have calmed considerably in the last few months. I am optimistic that with the help of this supplement the virus will revert to a significantly more manageable level. Give it a chance and stick with it for at least 1-2 weeks.

These seem to work ok, but they are big pills and you need to take three daily. It was my mistake for not looking at the label before I ordered it. I won’t get them again

I bought a new bottle of this after I ran out of the previous bottles I built up through subscribe and save. This is still effective, potent and does the job. To me, that's all that matters. Excellent antiviral.
