It can work but getting it in the right position can be finnicky. If it's not close enough to the floor there will be a gap, but if it's touching the floor or your floor isn't smooth there will be friction. It's also somewhat difficult to get it to be parallel to the bottom edge of the door. The stick also isn't that strong, so I'm not sure how long it'll last.

This worked great to cover the gap between the wall and sliding barn door on a bedroom. Just needed to provide some privacy and this worked great.
