Good fit and function, Jsaux makes good aftermarket steam deck parts.

Theres not much to dislike.. you pretty much have to dismantle the whole Steam Deck for this mod… and you need a heat gun.. or be skilled with a hair dryer coz you gotta take the screen out.. which isn’t for the faint of heart. I have actually done this several times because am totally insane. It doesn’t exactly match up with the clear backplate that i had bought previously. That is on me. That is my fault. The backplate that i am referring to has a metal plate that lets you attach a thermoelectric fan. It gets ice cold.. literally ice cold. Anyway. It can take a few hours especially if you forget something and have to disassemble everything just to replace the part you forgot earlier. A electric screwdriver will help greatly. Oh yeah, this faceplace came with all the screws i could need and the nicest packaging outside of a brand new iphone. The quality is very good. And it was definitely worth the money. The backplate is sold separately

There's very little to say. This feels as premium as the original shell and WAY more than the Extremerate shell. It is a pain to install, took me 6 hours of slow deliberate work, but it was great fun. I also spent that time upgrding the SSD, swapping out the thermal interface with PTM 7950 abnd replacing the joysticks with Hall-effect sticks.

This shell swap is very risky!!! Not worth breaking your steam deck over. But I’ll have to say; once I grabbed the mechanics down on where everything goes I feel accomplished and satisfied with how everything turned out. Good luck if you interested in the esthetics of gaming.

A bit of know how, and a bit of patience and you'll get this done. This kit comes with everything you need (except a way to heat the glue on the screen, used my air station gun) Much better quality then the extreme rate one. Bonus points for including new adhesive for the screen!

Paired with the RGB backplate, the front and back both look like it came straight out of Tron. The only thing I can say is if you do this yourself, make sure you have a screen on hand to replace it with cause I didn't get something to take the screen off with. Thankfully I needed to replace it anyway and had one laying around.
