These are wonderful. Used two for bathroom countertops. Stained and clearcoated. One dark grey one reddish stain. The colors applied quick and even and look WONDERFUL.

This piece of solid wood (butcher block) gave new life to my desk setup. Arrived with just one of the 8 corners rounded, the rest of corners and edges were smooth to the touch. The slightly damaged edge is not visible as it’s facing the bottom side, so I can work with that. Also these boards are known to have a pretty side and an ugly side. The minimal damage was on the ugly side, another win. The piece was already factory sanded, but I hand sanded my piece for additional smoothness. Before the first coat of finish I used 220 grit. Before the second coat, I lightly sanded with 320 grit. I used Natura One-coat and it gave it a clean and slightly darker tint, VERY smooth to the touch, this finish also gives it that natural feel and look while also providing excellent protection from the elements. Photos from first to last: 1. As it arrived. 2. After first coat of finish. 3. After second coat and 48 hrs. 4. One week after curing, placing it on the designated space. 5 & 6. Build finished.

I bought two of these butcher block slabs for my kitchen remodel. Both arrived in good shape. I was very pleased with the quality and price. I saw some cheaper at an outlet retailer but these were much thicker. I would buy from this seller again if I were to do another kitchen. BTW...I love the butcherblock and so happy I chose it over other material.

Heavy weight and true to size. Purchased, stained, sealed and installed. Looks very good. I would purchase again.

What quality and craftsmanship!! I purchased the 36" x 24" board and am so amazed at how I love this board. When you love to cook like I do, it just makes me feel good to look at it. This is a beautiful and professional addition to my kitchen. I will keep it out always and never put it away. Looks amazing on my countertop. I also bought a food grade mineral oil to seal the board first. I applied it with a piece of cut terry cloth towel. I put the sealer on twice, on all sides, 24 hours apart. Pay attention to the instructions to not get it wet. I am using a damp cloth only to wipe it down. I am going to use this for pasta and bread so I will not be using a sharp knife like a typical cutting board. I need to preserve the smooth surface for dough. I have many other cutting boards for veggies and fruit. I placed a slip free silicone waffle mat underneath to avoid it slipping on my granite. I used a brand new, cut to size rug mat. Worked great. At the price offered here, you cannot go wrong. Add this to your space!

Quality lumber, not very smooth in some places and the occasional peice was not level with others. I used an orbital sander to clean up those aforementioned areas. Then i used pre-stain, and a redish mahogany stain to treat the surfaces and sealed it with a satin lacquer.

A BEAUTIFUL wood block…Tight and smooth. Shape edges, I sanded them round. Just finishing staining and sealing it. Looks gorgeous.

Both sides of the butcher block I received were rough to the touch and not smooth. One side had a long dent in it, like a metal tool was dragged across the wood. The same side with the dent has a noticeable tapering of wood thickness at the edge, resulting in a slope off one corner. Looked good in the packaging but once it was unwrapped, the true condition was revealed. Dimensions are accurate. Wood quality seems fine. Just disappointed with the butcher block I received. If I was buying again, I’d skip this brand and seller.
