Fit and working great

Good wipers out of the box, will have to see how they stand up to NE winters. I bought these for my 1997 BMW 540i , they just snapped into place. Very easy, and they work very well here in summer, with the occasional T storm. A good product! Just got to see how they stand up to ice and and snow. Getting stuck to the windshield, the whole endless winter drill. But inexpensive enough to by new ones, if damaged by winter conditions.

Ahhhhh . . . . . That's much better. Those old wipers were starting to scrub and drive me nuts. I've had this 2001 BMW 530i for over 11 years now and this is the 3rd set of Bosch wipers I've installed. They are super easy to install. I ordered these as no one carries or stocks wipers for this model. It's a bit of an oddball and I'm glad I can get good quality Bosch replacements shipped to my door.

The auto stores that actually had the size I needed were a little high, so I hopped on amazon and badda-boom there they were at a price I was much happier with. They were easy to install and two months have passed and I am still very pleased with how well they work. No streaks, seems to have constant contact, pressure and cleans on each swipe.

For just $37.54, you will get a great deal with these wipers. It glides across my windshield like silk and makes it very clear. Now compare that with what BMW charges, which cost $99.99 plus tax from my local BMW stealership in Los Angeles, there's no doubt you are getting a great bargain here. In fact I heard and I totally agree with people around the BMW internet forum that these are superior to the ones BMW sell to you. The replacement process is easy, just tilt your old wipers approximately 45 degrees away from the windshield, move the latch in an up ward position to unhook the old ones, make sure one hand is holding the old wiper blade so that it doesn't fall directly on your hood once you unlock them, and replace it with the new ones using the same size blade "one is 22 inches and the other is 24 inches, and position it to the original orientation, adjust the latch lever back to it's lock position and carefully position the blade back towards the windshield. Now repeat this process for the other one. Spray your windshield with water nice and wet and then test the wiper using the washer release lever. You will know if you install it correctly when the wiper glide across the windshield effortlessly without any horrible sound and without any streaks. Update 5-25-2011 During the winter-rain season, I did notice that the driver's sided wiper had a dragging effect, which cause a very loud mourning sound. I tried adjusting the blade while it was raining, but it did not do the trick. However, I did notice on non-rainy days the wipers worked fine when using the washer and wiper feature on my car.

If you own a 1997-2003 BMW 5-Series (E39), this is a must have wiper. Don't deal with bad wiper blades and chance the possibility of poor vision during a rain storm. This is the only option versus going to the dealership. It's affordable (versus the dealership wanting $90+ install) and super easy to install. There should be no reason to need a technician to help. Did mine in 5 minutes. This kit does comes with both passenger and driver side wipers as they are different sizes.
