Good writer, good colors, good design, click, clip, everything.
This pen surprised me. It's a great writer, and the click mechanism is really pleasing. The larger button is really comfortable on your finger, perfect pressure feeling and satisfying click. The clip is also a nice design. I love the color, the extra fine point, and the metal enforced point of the pen. The two halves of the body come together smoothly, it's got a nice subtle texture. I love it!

Great pen, great ink, great deal!
The Uni-ball One P gel pen writes like a fountain pen, but has the convenience of a ball point. The 0.5 tip produces an intense color saturation and dries immediately. If you require a thinner line the 0.38 tip is a good alternative. The thicker body is easy to hold, especially for arthritic fingers and comes in an assortment of colors to suit your tastes. This pen is excellent for writing checks, memos and notes. The Uni-ball One P gel pen would be a welcome addition to any writer's desk at a very affordable price. Peter P.

Great little pen
Love how smooth it writes. Ink flow has been great. It is a cute size but could be hard to use with larger hands. My kids love them. It looks nice and the price is great. I just wish there was an even finer point refill option.

Good pen, but squeaky spring.
TL;DWR. The pen writes fantastically and has great ink, the body is above average in build quality and ergonomically very comfortable. However the spring isn't changeable and for me was squeaky right off the bat. The Uni-Ball One P is an interesting little pen with it's stocky design. The overall build quality is quite nice and It's no heavier or lighter than most pens; I found it quite comfortable to hold even with larger hands. The plastic body itself feels fairly premium? Definitely not cheap feeling but also not completely outstanding, with the walls of the pen being just a tad too thin for it's extra circumference, leading the barrel to have some "hollowness" to it. Which overall makes it feel less dense than you think it would. However the thicker body means it doesn't need any sort of grip or rubber to hold very comfortably. The click of the pen feels disappointingly soft and the spring is quite squeaky (more on the spring later) but the actual writing experience is very nice and the ink is incredible, outperforming my previous favorite ink from Energel. It's incredibly dark, very smooth flow and very very quick to dry (like seriously the only way I could get it to smear was inking a circle in completely and then very quickly running my finger across). The pen clip being made of metal and separate from the pen body is also very nice, it means you don't have to worry about a plastic piece that can break off as the metal would bend before it would break. Now about that spring... Well it's hidden, and not removable from what I can tell, and the same goes for the push button/thrust device. Which comes with both a pro and a con, the pro being you can't lose anything when opening the pen to change ink. The con being you can't replace the spring, period. Which I could actually see being a great thing if you're giving this to a kid who likes taking stuff apart. But if you're like me and want to be able to change the spring it's pretty unfortunate. Especially since it doesn't sound all that great out of the box, though it might be smoothed out with a little mechanical keyboard lube. Again, overall a great little pen. Very aesthetic appearance wise and also comfortable to hold. With the ink being the true hidden gem of this pen. (But I gotta dock a star for the squeaky spring)

Best ink pen I own
0.38 pen is great for my Hobonichi Techo Weeks; thin writing is ultra fine and clear. Works well on Tamoe paper: smooth and dries relatively fast (no blotting or blowing dry as with fountain pens). Standard black ink is not streaky but is very clear. The chubby barrel relieves my hard grip as I write, and I find I can write a bit longer than with a thinner barreled pen. Soda is a nice color and helps determine ink colors I keep (red black blue). I use it daily for Techo, notes to mom, and sermon notes. Never thought a Japanese pen would make a difference in my writing but the high quality understated function and minimalist design is the best. The size fits comfortably in my small hand, the ink refill lasts me maybe a month? Since I use all 3 ink colors it depends on which ink color I’m using ….

Short and Stubby
This Uni-Ball One Pen is only 4-1/2 inches long and 1/2 inch wide. I wish it was about an inch longer. It uses a Uni-Ball gel ink cartridge that is very smooth-writing. It is a universal size, so other refills from Pentel, Pilot, Monteverde, Sharpie or Zento will also fit this pen, if you prefer one of those refills. It has a nice “paperclip” type pocket clip that is borrowed from Lamy Pens, which Uni-Ball owns.

A solid choice
These pens are great! The color variety is nice, they write smoothly, don’t smear, and are a good price.

Great product, faulty 1/3 :(
Got 1 of these pens and it was so good, I immediately ordered 2 more. From the flow on ink, to fine delivery of precise writing (0.38) to the smooth writing experience, this pen is amazing. The fact that this one an award for Japan's 2024 stationary competition speaks for the product itself. I was sad to realize my pen stopped working/ink started to dry out and not write as smoothly just about a week or two after I started using it however, and was gravely disapppointed. I have 3 and the other ones are working well but hoping their quality isn't just when they are brand new and hoping they will last longer than the first one I had purchased. Would have hoped a pen like this could last months AT LEAST given the price tag. Update - after 2 months of use, I can confirm that while these pens are great brand new, they run out of ink and the flow of ink/delivery sharply drops in quality about after 2.5 weeks - 3.5 weeks after use. Quite disappointing for a pen at this price point. Not sure if faulty product or pen just has a short life. Probably better pens out there with longe lasting quality.

Great little pen, writes very smooth. Nice feel in the hand. But it is shorter so it might be a bit of an issue if you have larger hands or want a bulky pen. Great to have IN your pocket.

Bought this pen going, its expensive but it got good reviews. It arrived, and its really short and stubby. Threw me off at first. But then I wrote with it and by the gods did the heavens part and angels sang! For someone like me who writes in chicken scratch, this makes it legible (mostly). Its comfortable, writes awesome, non smear and a joy to take notes with. My only wish is that for it's cost it should have some kind of refill. But best pen I've used in ages, better than anything we have at the office. People keep trying to steal it so I keep it on me.

This Mitsubishi Pen by both one of the greatest Japanese manufacturers if not greatest manufacturers here on this planet!!! - Ever known to man thus woman kind alike and also with Uni-Ball who are in itself are very good thus distinguished however the ‘Uni’ bit seems chaotic as is with University, talking from one behalf, talking as a post graduate, and also as a writer I feel very humble to use such kit as is with the style of pen. The colour thus color range as is, is unimaginable to what others there are thus be available whether through this here run by Sir Jeff Bezos not only but together with ‘color/colour and more’ with Mitsubishi, incredible, such a grip, effortly effortless. Seamless continuity with the body to pen with arm thus hand fluidity of self thus one being. I hope they never stop the issue thus manufacturing of, forever! It would cause annoyance upset and more if Mitsubishi and Uni-Ball did ever stop the production and the design as a one hundred percent of an overview of expression from one! Long Live Mitsubishi, Long Live Uni-Ball. Thankyou & More!
