Stylish Sound with Minor Flaws
The Marshall Motif II ANC headphones are a great choice for those who value style and sound quality. Here's a quick breakdown after months of use: Pros: - Sound Quality: The audio performance lives up to its price point, delivering rich and detailed sound. - Feel: The earbuds have a solid, high-quality texture, and the case's textured design is stylish and lightweight. - Design: The overall aesthetic is sleek and classic, true to Marshall’s iconic style. - Battery Life: Battery performance matches the specifications, and the wireless charging feature is very convenient. Cons: - Case Lid Issues: The lid of the charging case feels a bit loose, giving it a slightly plasticky and less premium feel when handled. - Initial Comfort: During the first week of use, the earbuds caused some discomfort in my ears. This improved with time, though it’s worth noting I didn’t have this issue with my previous Apple AirPods Pro.

Great bright sound, average noise cancelling, beware of SBC
SUMMARY Great bright sound for almost any kind of music but I found it particularly crisp for guitars and vocals in rock, metal and classical music. Bass in hip-hop, reggaeton and the likes is there and sounds ok but it might worth getting other earbuds if you're looking for emphasised bass or have a musical preference that can benefit from a slightly different sound signature. I found these have emphasis on the upper mids, trebble by default A FEW THINGS TO BE AWARE OF Not sure if just me but after testing on my Asus ZenFone 9, Sony Walkman nw-a306, Oppo phone I noticed that I had to increase the volume a bit more than I do for wired headphones or other Bluetooth headphones (Sony xm5, Bose qcii and even Moondrop space travel tws). There is an ongoing compatibility issue with Xiaomi phones, I had experienced this first hand When connecting the earbuds via Bluetooth to my ZenFone 9 it used by default the SBC codecas opposed to AAC and the sound wasn't great. I solved this by getting into developer mode (go to settings / system / about phone/ software information and tap quickly over build number until you get the message of developer mode enabled, then go to settings again and look for Bluetooth codec and choose AAC instead). Interestingly enough I had no issues with the Sony Walkman nor the oppo phone. THE GOOD * They are stylish, look good and are rathe ipx5 (not water proof but can deal with splashes) * Great detailed sound in the upper mids * You can use a single earbud (left or right) shall you wish to * Bluetooth multipoint switches easily and painlessly between 2 devices * The case supports wireless charging * The find my earbuds feature would emit a sound in case yo need to find your earbuds (not too far from you!) * Battery optimisation mode can potentially help to extend the battery lifespan. This allows fast or slow charging as well as limiting the charge to 90% only THE BAD * Active noise cancelling is just average. It does help to reduce the noise but not to a great extent. Compared to other earbuds in the price range is not great. However, it seems to have a slight improvement compared to the motif 1st generation. * multipoint just supports 2 devices. This might be limiting if you have more than 1 phone and 1 laptop that you would like to use with the earbuds * No great to play video games, there's a delay of a bit less than a second that is ok when listening to music but unacceptable when playing * Tap to Spotify button might be helpful if you use Spotify 🙂 * Fairly comfortable but my ears feel fatigued after 2 hours. This is a subjective opinion as everyone is different but in case it helps the Bose QC ii make me even forget that I have them. I'd place the Sonywf-1000xm4 on second place (although they're bulky) and these on third place. The plastic part is in contact with the ear and that's what hurts a bit after some hours. If they had made this part rubber I think it would be perfect. Very similar shape to the airpods pro 2 but with a better "grip" (if it could be called that) * Asus ZenFone 9 used SBC instead of AAC and this could happen for other phones too, check if that's the case. It can be corrected via developer tools in settings though. * When using the taps there are only sounds to inform you where you are at so it makes difficult to know whether it's transparency, noise cancelling or nothing. Similarly you can choose equalisers but for any option you choose you might have to wait until you hear before knowing in which mode you are. Other earbuds tell you where you are with a voice (e.g. Sony, Bose ). In noisy environments you might struggle when trying to establish whether noise cancelling is enabled. This is solved by using the app and reading but it kind of defeats the purpose of leaving the phone in your pocket or away. Hope it's helpful and can help you decide! 😊

Lacking Bass
Not sure if they need time to 'run in', but the sound quality is no where near my JBL buds, they lack bass, clarity is good, but no depth, I've adjusted the custom equaliser, but still not as good as JBL, disappointing considering they cost more.

Top top top sound quality.
Well what can I say about Marshall headphones, I have the plug in ones and these and sound quality is just perfect. Oh Also have the headphones too. Love Marshall products and couldn't fault them one bit. Top top top quality. Keep up the good work and the classic British sound you pump into my lugs. The low scores on these headphones must from people who don't understand sound.

Look cool - style over substance sadly ..
Worst headphones I have owned and they're more expensive. Distort at loud'ish volumes and weird random sounds. Shame as I own other Marshall products which I love.
