This fire blanket is one of those things you hope you never have to use but are so glad you do have. It feels well made and sturdy, and the packaging is easy to open quickly in an emergency. These are relatively low price easy to put around the house, light weight, easy to use, when it unfolds its a good size to smother a reasonable flame. I recommend hanging them on something solid like a nail so you can pull it down to open it up. We have them in the kitchen, pellet stove, entrances, etc. Less messy to smother a flame than blast it with a fire extinguisher. Though as a Fire Fighter I would recommend having both and more available.

Bought an 8pk and put one in our garage, kitchen, cook shack, and camp trailer. Then liked the idea and quality and ease to store and use and use bought another 9pack for gifts. They are light weight but heavy weave construction. Easy to hand or pop in a drawer. What better gift than one for safety . Excellent price on sale.

Looks to be of good quality, haven’t had to use it yet, but it looks to be of a fair quality do the price and should do the job if needed.

I recently purchased this 2-pack of the Lancryen 40″ × 40″ emergency fire blankets, and I’m very impressed. These are made of woven fiberglass fabric and can withstand very high temperatures (up to ~1076°F / ~580°C). What I Loved: • High-Temperature Resistance: The material is super tough — it feels very protective. • Oxygen-Blocking Design: When you pull it out and cover a fire, it smothers the flames effectively by cutting off oxygen. • Versatility: It’s rated for different kinds of fires — kitchen grease fires, small electrical fires, etc. • Reusable & Long-Lasting: Since it’s made of fiberglass and doesn’t burn itself, you can reuse it (assuming it’s still in good shape) — that’s peace of mind. • Compact Storage: Even though it’s 40 x 40 when unfolded, it folds up small enough to store in a kitchen cabinet, under a sink, or in a car emergency kit. This product is not as described. The advertised images are from foreign country. The particles stick all over the body. The product has been cut in 3 sides. It does not have strap how it is shown in the image. I tested with the fire stick It did not catch the fire. But, if I show it on the gas stove flame, It melts. It is like something is better than nothing, kind of product.
