Solid product. Textured feel keeps ALLY from getting slick while gaming. Can get dirty from hand grim but safety and kickstand make the issue worth it. Gen 1 ALLY fit into without issue. B button has weird ledge that takes a few hours to get used to but rest is good. The face cover/protector saved me from having to RMA the device. Worth every penny. Would have liked an olive green or black color instead of white, but it works. *Warning* Power off the ALLY before putting the screen cover on. It blocks the exhaust ports and can cook the LCD screen.

The perfect travel case for my husbands console! It’s hard plastic that snaps on to his gaming toy and protects the console in his bag, without adding a lot of bulk.

I just got this today and will update in the long term but these are my first impressions of this case.. 1) feels good and sturdy 2) it has texture grip 3) fits very snug 4) everything is available with the case on plus love the kickstand Things I hate so far is 1) when picking up the device with the case it creaks a little and feels like it could scratch/ damage in the long term the plastic on the device since this doesn't have any cushion inside it.. that's why it causing the creaking and just doesn't sound good... will update if anything. 2) the texture of the grip on the case feels weird/ cheap but it's decent for the price.. just 2 things that bothered me but overall I like this case so far.. the bad things is just me nitpicking on one thing but the other one will bother me if this case does scratch the actual rog ally but only time will tell and definitely update if it does.

I don't dislike a single thing about this. Very sturdy. Love the color. The texture is perfect, gives you GREAT grip. I take my device to work so the screen cover part of the case is amazing to have cause mine is in a bag most days. Easy to put on , fits PERFECTLY. not too bulky and works better than you think lol

This is a great cover. I use this more than my case because it is so handy. Great quality case for the original ROG ally.

Not just great for protection , this is actually a huge upgrade to the ergonomics of the device. Makes it much more comfortable to hold. The kickstand is actually really useful too, especially on plane rides with a controller. Cover is also a great addition for traveling.

Update : - They recently updated the case and fixed the issue with the triggers. - It also seems to fit a bit better with the air intake in the back. - The only improvement that could be made would be better cutout for the exhausts and better cutout for the right joystick. Also amazing customer service. Updating to 5 starts. I've been looking everywhere for a good case with stand. This one was very close. Few points I didnt like : - Id say about 1/4 of the exhaust overlap the ally exhaust - The triggers cant be pressed down fully because of the case. I know you can adjust it in the software but still. - One of of my intake was slightly covered as well. - On the hardshell, the wide part that is supposed to be over the joystick is actually over the buttons... - Annnnd I'm not a big fan of the texture, a little too ruggish to my liking

Finding a good case for the ROG ally is near impossible. They either are cut poorly, or are Too thin and don’t offer enough protection. This case actually feels pretty sturdy. It feels like sand paper which some people will or won’t like. It has more coverage than the other open front cases. The cut out next to the b button is nice. However there are three major design flaws. If you have an xg mobile, you will need to make cuts like I did. This actually won’t even fit completely. You will need to still apply a decent amount of pressure to lock the xg mobile into place. The hard front case is definitely not big enough and can’t be cut with an xacto knife like the rubber case. If you use analog stick rubber covers like I do. Do not expect the front cover to fit. It actually depresses the right stick pretty badly before snapping shut on rog ally. The sd card port is too deep. So if you do not have very small fingers and long nails. You will need tweezers, or you will need to peel back the case every time you want to swap out an sd card EDIT!!!: The customer service is amazing. They have indeed fixed the trigger issue on the case. I would still like to see those three other issues resolved.
