I purchased the product primarily to pick up small pine cones. I was skeptical, thinking that they would get caught between the wires. Turns out, it works pretty darn great! Not perfect - if something gets caught between two wires, it creates a gap and then more things can fall out or, as it gets full and the weight gets heavier, it seems to also cause some of the wires to separate and stuff to fall out. But generally, it works great and has saved my back! It seems well built and sturdy too. I'm glad I got the kind with the hatch on the end (instead of just the open end, where stuff could fall out). Works amazing and efficiently very effective instead of using a rake while picking up walnuts, it will pick up green walnuts. It will pick up brown walnuts. It does fill up a little fast so you do have to empty the container quite a few times, but still it is much more practical to use for picking up nuts around your yard Compared to raking. I would recommend getting this product if you have a tree that drops all of its nuts at the same time each year, you will not be disappointed it saves your shoulders and back while using the product. I am very happy with my purchase.

I have a huge sweet gum tree in my yard that drops tens of thousands of sweet gum balls every winter and spring. I've used other nut pickers that were effective in picking up the balls but so frustrating to try and empty them out when full. This nut picker is designed to make emptying a breeze. There is a cap on one end that easily comes off so you can drop the balls in the trash barrel. This device has saved me countless hours of raking and bending over to scoop them up. Now I just roll it over the yard and it grabs the balls for me. No bending or stooping to pick them up. Thank you Zozen for making a more effective picker that is easy to use and empty out. It is also very sturdy with an adjustable length handle to save your back from stooping. Gathering sweet gum balls is now one of my favorite and most satisfying jobs in the yard ☺️

THE GOOD!: I was skeptical about this upon purchasing, I thought it would be too good to be true, but that couldn’t have been further from the truth!! This thing assembled in less than a minute, and I cleaned up almost an entire trash can full of walnuts in less than 8 minutes. I purchased the 1 to 2-1/2” model, and it picks up every walnut even some of the hulls! THE BAD(less than ideal, but still not a deal breaker)!: If the walnuts are hidden in tall grass, it has a hard time picking them up. The frame that holds the wheel is plastic, wish it was made of a little bit thicker plastic, or even some light weight aluminum. The handle is also a little flimsy and if you have to push hard to fight thick grass, the telescoping handle wants to slide back down. Again these aren’t deal breakers as I am an engineer and machinist and can make a sturdier handle.

The product is amazing at collecting all the walnuts that fall from our tree. The only issue is that it’s not big enough. You have to empty a million times and they are hard to get out the side.

What a great product for a great price. Did not want to invest a ton of money into cleaning up the walnuts in the yard and this worked amazing. We have filled two large garbage cans full of them.

I have a gum tree that leaves those prickly balls all over the yard. This works great for picking them up.

These worked well at first but were not sturdy and did not hold walnuts inside after just a few uses
