A dramatic reconstruction of Princess Diana's days as a nanny through to the collapse of her marriage to the Prince of Wales. This account of the events which put into question the continued survival of the monarchy, mixes proven fact and speculation together with visually accurate portrayals of the leading characters. Review: Diana : Her true story - I rated this as a 5 star as it was comprehensive in the cover of her marriage with the Royals. I love Diana as many did and she was chased to her death regardless of the circumstances the motor bikes were there. Who can not understand unrequited love ? She did indeed love her Prince but she was too young just 19, not able to grasp what this marriage meant. The Royals did not prepare her for the role as they have a much older Catharine for William. It was a ménage au trois. I do believe Charles did love Diana in his own way but he could not communicate with her and they had little in common. It was the times. He had to have a virgin and there were few virgins in their late 20's so I am happy that the Royals have learned from their mistakes. It is worth watching this dvd about Diana and it is I am sure in her own words. Dianna's life was a tragedy. To understand her was to realise she was abandoned by her mother and this transferred to her adult life she felt abandoned and having million loving her from afar would have not helped. SHE WAS SO LONELY something we all have felt at different times in our lives. The public identified with Diana with all her humanness and goodness to others. She caught the public like no other even Catherine as much as everyone loves her and William she comes no where near close to BOTH the magic AND TRAGEDY of DIANA. If Shakespeare was alive he would write a play of her life. I WONDER how she would have been portrayed by Shakespeare ?!!! Review: So cringingly awful it is compulsive viewing for the right reasons - Beautifully over the top. Worth it for the guest appearances, particularly William Franklin. Every princely twitch greeted with pleasure. Pre The Crown in so many ways. Same liberties with the truth of course.

Brought back memories of a very beauiful woman
I really enjoyed this movie as it bought back memories of this very beautiful and graceful young women who I miss very much. I am not a fan of the royal family, but I always loved Diana and always will.

Excellent DVD
This is definatly worth watching. The acting is brilliant and the story is quite sad as well. If you weren't sympathetic to Diana before you will be after watching this

fantastic
A fantastic film, if all the details are true wow, it's no wonder she went a bit crazy now and them, charlie is not the price we thought he was. I enjoyed this film so much.

Utter tosh
This is painful to watch in all respects, and trivialises events into some kind of soap opera mini-movie. If that's your thing, and you're not really interested in facts, then it may just be your cup of tea.

Really good
Diana: Her true story tells the story of Princess Diana in her early years as a royal, where as the 2013 Diana follows on with the later stuff up until her death. My wife totally loved this film & it is tastefully done with brilliant acting (in my humble opinion).

At first I didn't like this film quite so much. But then, I could not help myself, and watched it a second time. It captures something that is both lurid and pure about Diana's life as a youngster right through her marriage to Charles and into the painful beyond of that. It made me ask myself, "Why would a beautiful young girl with a nice job, a London apartment, and some decent roommates want to marry Prince Charles?" He is older, seems doddering and too tightly wound, and has this weird calypso music playing at parties he throws at the Palace where pearl-clad doyennes in billowing satiny gowns and inherited bling-bling glide about planning adulterous liaisons. What did a perky Sloane like Diana see in all of this? Perhaps her father's love, approval, all that. The film ties Diana's bulimia to her mother's departure from her marriage to Earl Spencer, who responds by gamely picking up his little daughter and running off, saying, "Let's see what nanny's got to eat in the kitchen!" Which means that every time the young Diana faced an unpleasantness, food was a prominent answer. But then, it was all thrown up. We even get to see her at the loo, forcing all that ice cream and cake back up. We see Diana's ire rise on her honeymoon when she finds evidence of Charles's Camilla knick-knacks. We see Diana shouting and screaming. If they lived in Queens, New York, Diana could just have given Camilla a black eye and told her to stay away, and that would have likely been that, or at least, it would have slowed things down. Alas! The physical transition undergone by Serena Scott Thomas in which she sheds her baby fat and several atrocious hairstyles is well-worth watching. Sharles's smarminess when he brags to his parents about having impregnated Diana is also good for a laugh, once the shock wears off. Heck! After writing this, I think I will go watch it a third time now!

Everything about this DVD is just what I expected, it was sent out the same day I ordered it. I have the movie on VHS, but don't have a VHS player anymore. I really love this movie and missed playing it. I found it in DVD's but at a price of $200.00 or more, so when I found this at a price I could afford I was sceptic if it would be the same. It's the same, I'm so happy as I'm a Diana fan. The seller was great. Packaging was great, the movie is just like new, I'm wondering if it is. Enjoying one of my favorite movies again. Thank you to the seller.

I have really enjoyed this movie. I remember this story like it was yesterday. Princess Diana was a wonderful lady, kind to all people. No matter your background. I just wish Prince Charles would have treated her better, and given to his wife that loved him very much the respect she deserved. I was so upset when I heard about him seeing another women a former girlfriend. I would recommend this movie to all.
