Sounds Great
I installed this LR Baggs Stage Pro system on an Epiphone Masterbilt replacing the original Esonic 2 system that crapped out on me. I had to modify the hole to get the unit to fit. The pickup and wiring were simple because I used the existing cable guides, input and pickup channel. The saddle height also worked out fine. The Epiphone had a two pickup system so I just left the neck pickup in place inoperable. I also left the second input blank. The sound improvement is amazing. In the time I have owned this guitar, I probably spent the cost of this new system on watch batteries for the old Esonic 2.

So much better than the Oscar Schmidt OEM pickup!!!!
This sounds SO much better that the OEM pickup that was installed. This was my first pickup installation and took about four hours, but I was measuring 4-5 times before drilling and cutting. It was actually very simple, and, if I did it over on a guitar--not a baritone ukulele, I think it would take around an hour to an hour and 1/2. The sound turned an okay sounding instrument into and awesome sounding, almost guitar-like sound. This system cost about the same as the original instrument, but I believe that it is well worth the money!! One thing that I did not think about before ordering this was that you lose two times the width of the binding on the inside of the instrument that you're installing it in. Not a problem if you're installing it in a guitar, but that along with the smaller sound hole kept my 3-D analyzing how to turn it to get it in the sound hole and positioned to fit in the side. Providentially, it slid right in with probably less than 1/16" on either side of the internal binding.

Excellent sound, and a drop-in replacement for Beedlove guitars with the old LR Baggs TCV pre-amp
It took me about 15 minutes to replace the old TCV in a friend's Breedlove guitar. This unit fits the same cutout, same hole pattern, etc.. I left the pickup under the saddle, since this new unit came with the same one, and those things don't wear out. I replaced the pre-amp unit and the jack on the tailpiece. The old setup had the battery in the tailpiece, the new unit incorporates the battery with the pre-amp. So now, the guitar has a spare battery holder in teh tailpiece - win! And, man, the quality of the sound is very much improved! Big upgrade - highly recommended.

Sound good. Works well
I’m not saying any one could install it. Need to take your time cut the hole smaller than templet. Hardest was adjusting the input jack nuts. I used basic hand tools. Dremel with a wood saw blade and a battery drill and bit. I had another set of strings but actually used the old ones and it has been a month. took me about three hours start to finish I cleaned and waxed the guitar. Sound great not that I can play great. I do wish it had two pickups like the Athems

You'll be glad you did.
The unit that came installed on my guitar was defective. Eventually I chose to just replace the unit and what a world of difference. Couldn't be happier to hear the the true sound of my Red Gc-SR SPA Master's Choice guitar. This should be the de facto standard IMHO.
