I absolutely love this globe. It looks stunning. Immense quality too and very well packaged. A bit of advice, do not place it on a window sill above a radiator as this will interfere with the magnetic field and may interfere with rotation. It took me two long zoom calls to work this out!

It does nothing but sit on a table and spin but I’m fascinated by it. I first saw one of these about two years ago and thought I want one. So finally I got one and although I’m not somebody who tends to like ornaments I really like these MOVA Globes. It’s really relaxing just watching it spin. Be warned though they are heavier than you think and they do need to be placed a well lit area for it to spin. Before buying make sure you select the globe you want in the size you want as the selection is quite extensive from different versions of earth to other planets and moons. The one I bought is a 6” cloud covered earth. Would I buy another? Yes maybe the earth at night version.

Really cool piece of moving art. The globe, under normal lighting, looks incredible as it rotates within the sphere on its stand. I watched the sun come up in mid November and at 7:45 it slowly started to rotate. Just sitting with a contented smile on my face. The stand compliments the globe perfectly and it was easy to slide together and assemble. There is a join-line that only seems noticeable under bright light so the effect is undeminished.... I really like it and it always gets noticed by guests. After a few months I did notice there was a wear line appearing inside the globe, but not really noticeable at a distance.

Love this globe, but to be honest, I feel it is a bit heavily priced. Anyhow, I treated myself and now my constellation class star ship orbits it, so to speak. If it were about 30% cheaper, I would buy another one with a different planet, but not at this price point. When it arrived, I took it out the box, but it initially refused to rotate, then after a few minutes, it did start to operate. Been ok since. My guess is that during transit, the oils are stirred up and not coherent, but after allowing to settle for a few minutes, everything seemed fine. So my advice is not to panic and let it stand after transport and unpacking for a bit.

Tout simplement magnifique. Attention, la prise de lumière se fait par le dessus : je voulais le placer dans une étagère, mais cela masque trop de clarté pour que le globe tourne. Positionné sans "cache" au dessus de lui, il fonctionne parfaitement. Et une exposition sous la lumière directe du soleil fanera les couleurs.

I think the 6" Mova globe is just the right size for a lounge room. Any bigger and I'll be concerned with the imperfections of the plastic construction or the streteching of the globe image to stand out. I really like the science behind how the globe spins, purely off light and the earth's natural magnetic core. It's also a great talking point. There hasn't been a guest in my house who has not asked about it.

I like it gives a great satisfying feeling in the room
