I know TEN's machines are effective for me having used them in the past for my back. I used this right from the first contractions and used it throughout my labour, building up the intensity with as the contractions increased. Worked brilliantly. Pads stayed on and lasted well. I bought this instead of renting on so I'd have it for my next pregnancy and for my back. I've since sprained my back and this has allowed me to come off the pain killers quicker and keep mobile. The rotating clip and neck strap work well. The whole thing is nice and easy to use and I loved the built in contraction timer.
