Worked well but the slimeline shape makes it difficult to know which is the pointing end. Its sleek design also lends itself to constant fumbling and dropping, which means that the great battery hunt is on! I gave stars for it being 2 pack and both work. It is good to know that when one breaks, I always have a backup. Good quality considering I have dropped, tossed and thrown the remote more times than I could possibly count. They take a likin' and keep on clickin'. I would recomend these remotes to family and friends.

This piece of junk frequently doesn’t respond to button inputs or ends up, somehow, queuing them up all and then dumping them all such that your navigation runs all over the place. For example you’ll hit down two or three times, nothing will happen then all of a sudden you’ll jump 20 rows down whatever you’re scrolling through. The speech to text functionality barely works, particularly in comparison to the original Google remote. Buyer beware

The remote works with my Philips Smart TV and was easy to set up. The buttons feel a bit cheap and not as responsive as the original, but it does the job for basic use. Overall it’s okay as a backup, just don’t expect original quality.

I got the replacement Chromecast remote. When it works, it works well. However, the remote has issues where sometimes button presses don't do anything. Sometimes, it will repeat the prior button press multiple times in a row, causing you to scroll way off the screen (after pressing the button only once). I got a replacement through Amazon, and it has the same issue.

It functions just fine and was a nice replacement. However, the buttons got sticky very quickly and I dont exactly have Hulk hands...other than working around that every so often, this is nice.

DOES NOT COME WITH COMPLETE STARTUP INFORMATION. They state that the easiest way to program the remote is by looking through the list of codes and entering the one you need for that device, but they do not provide the list. There is an auto pair option but, even though I could get it to sync to my tv well enough to turn it off or on, it was useless. The home button opened up a sidebar menu, the back/exit button popped up a sign that said button doesn't work, and every other button either didn't work or did something way out of left field that it shouldn't. I have an LG tv and it says this remote should have been super easy to pair. That is obviously not true or mine was defective.

While it is a good replacement for your lost or broken Apple-TV remote control, it is by no means perfect. The GOOD: works out of the box, only needs two AAA batteries, no programing whatsoever, all the remote-control buttons work as expected. The BAD: No tracking, you have to keep pressing the wheel button to change channels. I don't have any idea as to longevity but I'm sure the remote control will wear out due to constant pressing the center wheel button. Channel checking and selection is a chore in itself. As for the voice feature, not needed so I've never used it. This Apple-TV remote is cheap enough to buy more if needed unless you want the genuine remote which sells for about $60 which has the smooth tracking, but you have to charge & program it into your Apple-TV box before you can use it. There is a severe lag between pressing a button and a reaction on the Chromecast, making this an almost impossible device to use. To add insult to injury, the battery cover (one of the reasons to replace the original) no longer stays on after just 2 months of use - see video where cover just slides off without any pressure Not recommended

Junk. Didn't work for the Roku Express

Look it isn't the same as the original Google one, but when that goes through the wash, what can you do! We ended up with 2 as 2 remotes for different tvs broke at the same time. Still working years later!
