It is a fun gadget. Well made and not expensive. I don’t know if I would rely on it in a real survival situation. As I said, it’s fun.

I always struggle when i need to find a present for my dad. He is so picky and has everything. When i found this pen i was very excited. It arrived yesterday and i have to say - my dad will be VERY happy! It comes in a nice padded presentable black box with a cool logo. The pens feels much more expensive - it's heavy, black metal, and looks truly very impressive. Comes with additional battery and 2 ink refills, which is a nice bonus. Can be easily clipped on a belt, or notebook. I like that it looks just like a nice sturdy pen but is so much more in reality! With bottle opener, glass breaker, flash light (very bright by the way!) - my dad can impress his coworkers in the office or just keep it in his car in case of an emergency. 5 stars!

Very nice looking pen, good weight to it. The only thing I wasn't to fond of is how the actual pen part is hidden away forcing you to unscrew whenever you need to use it leaving the rest of the pen on the table since there is no way to leave the pen attached unless you stuff it on which is prone to fall off, which can feel awkward for big hands. Of course its no big deal in private but in public it wouldn't be my 1st choice for writing. As for the tactical attributes of the pen TakeFlight did a fantastic job on the multi tool, glass breaking tip and flashlight. It all feels very high quality when handling the pen and i doubt any other pen on the market can compare, I can say i was completely shocked to see how bright the flashlight was on the pen and how sturdy the glass breaker and multi tool held up when used. Another thing i really enjoyed about this product was the packaging, the box looked very professional and felt very professional, the added batteries and ink cartridges were a nice bonus. Overall I would give this product a 4.5 but that isnt an option and a 5 star review wont be misleading for this product. Very nice pen. ~ Adam

Great gift idea... but I kept it for myself. I really like this product. It's a bit bulky if you need this primarily as pen as accessing this pen is not easy to unscrew it to use it. Read: I would look for another option from this company if you want to use this primarily as a pen as they plenty to choose from. Still, I will carry this in my EDC bag and/or leave this in my car. Also, be mindful that it comes with replacement batteries, but these batteries are not easily purchased through common retail stores. I would purchase a backup from Amazon before you need it. Build quality is good, especially if it has the glass break option on it. The light is good and will help you in a pinch, but don't expect a lot of light for a pen light. Overall, I would recommend.

I absolutely love this Tactical multi pen I love the weight of it, I love the way it feels, I love the way it writes, in fact it writes beautifully which was something that I wasn't expecting. I had high expectations for the tactical pen itself as far as the flashlight and self defense aspects of the pen and I figured that it would write somewhat okay but it writes absolutely amazing... I've already demoed and recommended it to several people on my job. At first I thought I wouldn't like the fact that to write with it, you have to unscrew it and it becomes two pieces.... the pen and the flashlight but I actually love this feature now because you can use them independently of each other... I had to check the oil in my car and I was able to just use the flashlight portion of it separately... I unscrewed the flash light part and popped it in my mouth and used it to shine light in the area where I was working. Plus it works great opening up boxes by cutting the tape away as it has a section on it with blade, a bottle opener, a flat head and several other cool useful tools. Overall it's a great pen and I Highly recommend it. One of my favorite purchases in the last few years. GREAT high quality product.

Came in a nice little sturdy black box with the company logo on it. There are 2 ink refill cartridges and an extra battery even for the LED flashlight which I thought was really thoughtful. I'm giving this as a gift later today as it's my dad's birthday and this man has EVERYthing...well except for a pen like this. He's a hunter, fisherman, Veteran, and retired firefighter. I think this pen checks off a lot of the boxes that I look for when searching for his gift. I took it out of the box and it does have some weight to it which feels good and not cheap. I opened all the little hidden areas (you just have to unscrew the different sections of the pen and you'll find them) to check out the bottle opener and where you replace the ink. The glass breaker is right on one end and the flashlight the opposite end with a little button you press to turn it on/off. Can't wait to give this to him today!

The instructions say that the pen uses LR44 batteries but they actually use three LR936 batteries. LR44 batteries are too big. The pen is well made and heavy but it gets stuck in my jean pocket. I think the 'problem' is that the clip is over some of the holes in the barrel and cloth gets stuck in there and makes it tough to pull it out easily. The other side of that coin is that the pen is not going to fall out of my pocket. The light is not real bright but it is sufficient for many closeup tasks but don't expect it to light the trail. The tools are not heavy duty so I will not be expecting much. I have not tried the glass striker. It might be an effective baton given it's weight and pointed end.

Just got this awesome tactical pen, self defense pen with flashlight. It seems super durable. Not only does it function as a pen, but it has a flashlight, a glass breaker and a bottle opener! Great to keep in your purse or car as you never know when one of these tools might come in handy. The company is Veteran owned and I support Veterans 💯!
