Casio G-Shock GWG-B1000-1A4JF Master of G Series MUDMASTER Flagship Model Triple Sensor Japan Import New

Recently sold my GWG-2000 which I had for two years and was missing the G-Shock experience so bought this here on Amazon. I'll come right out and admit that the maroon band was what sold me lol. Otherwise this is a solid G-Shock with all the features including sunrise and sunset which my previous watch didn't have. Pros: Red band Rose gold accents All the bells & whistles including Tough Solar, Multi-band 6, and Bluetooth Bluetooth connects to Casio app and makes setting up the watch way easier than doing it manually. Cons: Light is not as bright as GWG-2000 and is at the 4 o'clock position which leaves some of the watch in a slight shadow when used. Metal keeper. Why? NOTE: Casio has fixed the radio sync problem with this model but be aware that if you pair the watch to BT it will attempt to connect to this for time sync overnight and will not connect to the radio signal. To connect to the radio signal just un-sync the watch using the instructions found on the Casio web page and it will sync to the atomic clock overnight. All-in-all a nice watch and visually a step up from previous Mudmasters.

Beautiful and sturdy. Exactly what you would expect from G-Shock. Led's are very bright at night. Bluetooth connectivity is quick and controls are better intuitive than previous mudmaster models. Dial face is however smaller compared to my previous versions which is the only down side.

Gorgeous watch. I'm typical g-shock fashion the strap is very rigid. I hear them up a little bit to help from it to my wrist. It is large. On my 7-1/4" wrist it's borderline too big but it doesn't feel as big as it is with how the lugs and gap fillers are. It's also pretty thick. Even the strap is a chunker which makes fitment a little weird with one side being tight against your wrist and the other side looser. It would have been nice to be a little thinner or taper somewhat. Be aware that there are import duties shipping to the US. It was somewhere around $150 that the seller doesn't pay so figure that into the price so you can compare to sellers that do pay the import fees as part of their selling price. Mine wasn't as good of a deal as it seemed and actually cost more. Still definitely worth it. You don't need to connect it to your phone to work. It just makes setting easier. You can connect it, set everything up and disconnect if you like. Also, it is required to make gps functions work since this watch does not have it's own GPS. Which all the ads seem to leave out when talking about functionality.

Excellent watch. Very modern style

Watch has good weight due to stainless steel & will fit bullbars. Resin band is very hard on lean wrists. A nylon band from Jays & Kays on Ebay is highly recommended.

I have came to love mudmaster series. This one specifically is really good looking, built like a tank, and has everything. I like how it has bluetooth for settings and time sync, but its not reliant on it. Some of the bluetooth functionality is a bit gimmicky and is basically a shortcut for the app functionality.

Wait to buy this model. Casio has admitted that there is a problem with the Multiband 6 on this model. Also the Compass locator does not work. It’s not worth it to me. Go with GWG-1000 or GWG-2000 md pass on this one. Update 11/29/2023. There are now youtube videos popping up describing this issue. I should note that I did access the Casio Watches App and downloaded the software "patch" for the multiband 6 and after a few days following the download, the watch began receiving the signal. I have not tested the Compass Locator since this update. I did try it before the update/patch and it failed miserably with an "error" signal. The Compass Locator was the primary reason for purchasing this watch. However, with a watch touted as being rugged and durable, having to update your watch right out of the gate is disconcerting.
