Good FPGA to start with.
For starters the software does work on Windows 10. It takes following some instructions on Xilinx 's web site and applying a patch they provide. The Spartan 6 is fairly powerful for a beginner board. The Mojo Loader utility is very easy to use. I'll update this review as I learn more Vericode and do more things.

Warning/FYI - Only includes the board
Just received in the mail.Right off the bat, there is literally nothing else in the package besides the board and a little box the board comes in which points you to a generic website "For tutorials and software downloads". While this is not explicitly an issue, the fact that no accessories comes with this product NEEDS to be stressed (or how about even mentioned) in the description. It's discouraging/annoying to receive something which is not "cheap" and then have to immediately turn around and buy more stuff for it. I would gladly pay $15 more for this if it came with a wall plug, USB cable, and quick-start leaflet.

Core software only runs on Windows 7 and Linux.
Unfortunately as of this time Windows 10 is not supported because Xilinx has failed to produce an ISE that can run under windows 10.One must choose either Windows 7, (10 year old operating system) or Linux. The have a 7 gigabyte, (that's right), application that can be installed on Windows 10 the is in reality a Linux virtual machine. If you thought you'd reserve your brain power learning fpga then you'll be disappointed that you'll have to burn quite a bit just to get the system running. :-(
