Works as intended
Worked perfectly. Grabbed a pretty big spider right out of its web, carried it across the kitchen and dropped the spider on the back porch where it scurried away. Spider didn't escape and wasn't harmed.

Pretty good
Ever since getting this, I have managed to rescue and relocate several spiders and crickets. It does have a bit of a learning curve, and one spider did die in one of my attempts. Definitely has to be a decent-sized critter that you're trying to catch. I am always a bit nervous when folding it up, and extending it to full size. The inner cord is very tight, and you have to turn and have it go through the little cut-ins or it won't fold. I'm afraid of breaking that, but maybe that's not something I need to worry about.

Horrible product, don't waste your money
This product is awful, waste of my time and money having to return it. The bristles are way too thick/poor quality to catch anything safely, the end stays open so anytime you catch something you have to hold the trigger down the entire time until you can release it, and the entire quality of the product is terrible. Would absolutely NOT recommend.

Spider, even flies were released without any obvious injuries!
Comes in two very easy-to-assemble pieces connected with a thin wire. Vibrant red, easy to find. I was hesitant to buy a product that looks like a recycled batminton piece--and honestly, if you're not squeezing/gripping enough, insects will escape, but you can easily catch the startled spiders etc again and take them out to safety with a stronger grip. I have tendonitis, so I was wondering if this will be doable for me, but so far so good. I'm very happy with this product. The insects appear unharmed, when released outdoors. Great for people who want to get rid of pesky spiders, etc without killing them. This is a comfortable distance, and can reach corners of ceilings! Also, can be used to remove cobwebs (just clean off with some tissue or towels).

Different than other similar looking models
I have purchased what I thought was identical items before and was very satisfied. This items resting position is with the bristles open. And you pull the trigger to close them. Also, the bristles don’t open very far. The superior unit, the bristles bias position is closed, and you pull the trigger to open the bristles. They open much farther and make a better capture. However, this unit is still functional though not quite as effective.

Love this
I really love this because I am kind of bug squeamish and this allows me to catch bugs inside my house and return them outside without harm. Lightweight, foldable and easy to use

No-Kill
We have used this for years to catch spiders and other insects that dare to enter our space (indoors) and to return them to their own (outdoors). Simply position the tool over the invader, squeeze, open a door, squeeze to release, and away goes the problem. The tool is strong enough to catch its prey but gentle enough to do no harm. The insect gets to live in its proper place and you don't have any bug mess to clean. A bonus is that the tool is long enough that it can remove spiders from the ceiling. Love it!

Cool Bug Removal Tool
This thing is great! The end has plastic brushes that open when you squeeze the handle. Open and close all of your fingers in a pinching motion and you get the idea. You lower it over the "Critter" that needs to be removed and release the handle to close the end. Go outside, open the handle and dump out the passenger. There are two layers of brushes: one gently sweeps the critter into the center, the other is shorter, firmer and has inward curved ends that touch so the critter doesn't go out the end of the bristles. We drop spiders outside, so have noticed that it does sometimes break a leg of the more delicate ones but they at least have a chance, unlike if they stayed in my house. You'll be glad you bought one of these!

Very effective

Works great! I have another version of this, a bit shorter. I appreciate the longer handle on this one. It works the same. It will pick up even the tiniest of inserts, gently, allowing you to deposit them safely outdoors. Picking up a spider is really comical, because they act a bit confused after you release them, but as soon as they get their bearings off they go with speed. It does not harm insects at all. Humane, eco friendly and great entertainment, except maybe for the insect.

DO NOT BUY - item was defective and they require you to pay postage for RETURN (often costing more than the item). Item was wrong, mechanism cheap and stupid design. Replies on a friction fit mechanism to retract the bristles and completely breaks apart when you try to use.

Product works as expected. What's not expected is the poor build of the product. The way it folds is difficult. I thought I was going to break it. When you unfold it, it inserts with a noticeable wobble. There's no satisfying click. It's not very sturdy. You can see the stick is not completely straight.

The first try didn't work because I was trying to pick up the spider right away. The trick is to put the circular brush over the spider to trap it, then let it crawl up into the brush and then squeeze the trigger to hold it in. Only took a second. I ran outside and released it, the spider was perfectly fine and scurried away, unharmed. Happy with this product. Hope it continues to work so well each time!
