Perfect for ballasting tractor tyres — Simple and effective
I bought this drill-attached water pump specifically for ballasting my tractor tyres, and it did exactly what it said on the tin. I needed to pump about 40 litres of coolant into the tyres to add some weight, and this little tool handled it with no bother at all. Performance & Setup: Drill Powered: I hooked it up to my standard cordless battery drill, and it primed and started pumping almost instantly. It’s a very clever way to use the tools you already have in the workshop to do a specialist job. Handled the Volume: Pumping 40 litres is a fair bit of work for a small attachment, but it didn't overheat or struggle. The flow rate was consistent, and it got the job done much faster than trying to gravity-feed the coolant. Simple Connections: The hose attachments are straightforward. It created a good seal with no leaks, which is important when you're working with coolant around your wheel rims and garage floor. The Value: For the price, you really can’t argue. It’s a fraction of the cost of a dedicated electric pump, and for occasional maintenance like ballasting or emptying a water tank, it’s all you really need. It’s small enough to chuck in the toolbox when you're finished. Verdict: If you need to move liquid and have a battery drill to hand, this is a no-brainer. It worked perfectly for my tractor tyres and saved me a lot of time and hassle. A very impressive bit of kit for the money.

Good product. Does the job!
We bought this product to empty a portable bath from the bedroom, to the ensuite. The distance is a couple of metres only. It is really easy to set up with standard hose & fittings. It empties the full bath in approx. 7 minutes, using an electric drill & shows no sign of drill overheating but my partner says it struggles slightly as the shaft is tight. That said, he is a pump test engineer, so he is maybe over critical, but it does the job effectively. So overall, it is fit for our purpose & has been value for money.

Brilliant little pump.
I was reluctant to purchase this due to the number of negative reviews, I'm so glad I decided to give it a try. It is brilliant, such a simple but effective piece of kit, I couldn't fault it. I used a corded drill, as recommended, and this little pumped a good 100 litres of rain water off a flat garage roof. The reason my garage roof flooded is due to a genius who changed the height of the roof next to my garage without moving the drain, basically creating a dam for the rain water. Anyway, I needed the roof drained in order the fit new drainage. This little thing did the job in no time. Just follow the instructions and it'll work perfectly. Yellow end, water in, green end, water out. I submerged the whole unit in a bucket of water until the bubbles stop. Simple as that.

A good buy, better than the cheaper ones
Well worth Paying the extra few pounds to get this version. Good quality little pump that worked a treat in emptying a small section of a pond that was too awkward to empty by other means. It’s not something to use permanently but if you need to move some fluid occasionally then this fits onto standard diameter hose pieces of hose , something to watch on the others that use a larger diameter fitting. This will self prime over a decent length and pump a good distance compared to the cheaper versions available.

Not self-priming despite what the advert says!
Firstly, this is not a self priming pump. It is critical that you fill the suction tube and flood the pump to get it working properly. You cannot just dip the suction tube in the water and expect it to work. The pump should ideally be located below the water level of the container to be emptied because the water will drain back into the container and the pump will run dry and be damaged if the outlet is higher than the container being emptied. The other thing to be warned about is that water will leak from the drive shaft bearing when using it. This is more of a nuisance than anything but if used indoors you will definitely want the pump over a container of some sort to catch this, especially if it is anything other than clean water. On the other side, it does work ok when properly primed and connected to a reasonably powerful mains electric drill, but I wouldn't use it at a high speed because I am not sure how the shaft seal would cope. You must properly fix the pump to something that will also support the drill and align the drill with the drive shaft, you cannot hold the pump whilst driving it, it wilI cause you some injury, but this is the case with most of this type of device. You have been warned! It does come with connections to make it an easy connection to standard hose pipe and it is a relatively cheap solution for intermittent use. Cheap and cheerful, it is what it is, it works but is far from perfect.

You prime it by submerging it in water, by the time you lift it to attach to hoses the water drains out and it doesn't pump at all. Useless cheap garbage.
