A wonderful collection!
I buy this book for every baby shower! It's a great book for bedtime stories for little kids and for kids to read themselves as they get older!

More Than Fairies—and More Than They Bargained For
As a teacher, I love bringing folklore into the classroom. Enter Hans Christian Andersen: the original plot-twister. Sure, the title says “Fairy Tales,” but there are mermaids, shadow spirits, and talking tin soldiers—all served with a side of existential dread. My favorite moment? Holding up this brick of a book and announcing, “Today we begin studying fairy tales.” The panic in their eyes is priceless. Don’t worry, we don’t read the whole thing (I’m not a monster). But Andersen reminds students that folklore isn’t just fluff—it’s weird, deep, and wildly human.

Fantastic Family Book
Great book with classic rhymes and stories. Great for the entire family.

Thin pages
The book itself is beautiful. The pages, however, are tissue paper thin. You can see the writing on the the backside pages. It makes it very difficult to read. Such a shame to be so cheap on the paper when it could've been a wonderful keepsake to share with generations.

Good but book is too thick for kids

Very nice book to give as a gift with a good collection of stories, however as others have mentioned the pages are thin and almost translucent. It’s not a deal breaker but some pages seem thinner than others and it’s difficult to read.

Lovely book. The proof reader should have noticed that after a brief biography of Andersen refering to his Danish heritage, the following page erroneously refers to Andersen as a German writer. A shame this wasn't picked up before publication.

Pages are too thin, so you can see text of the following page through the previous one… The price should be lower for this item

My son already reads a lot, ButI found this book interesting as it makes him picturise the fantasies described in the stories. Must read for the kids engrossed in tablet and games all the while. This will enhance the kids capabilities,
