It’s widely available as a food ingredient and doesn’t require metabolization. While it’s ideal that people obtain nutrients from food, the population can’t universally assume that it can rely on the diet for food folates. THF is a critical player in folate metabolism as a folate-acceptor molecule. THF is first converted to 5,10-methylene-THF and then later is reduced to 5-MTHF by MTHFR. I bought this supplement because I saw a video about the MTHFR gene variants and had some of the same issues they mentioned in the video and the video stated that one of the issues w/ some variants is that some people can't utilize B12/B1(and others?) efficiently, because they can't process it well, and this version of the B vitamins is already processed (methylated), and ready for the body to use. Starting day two I have had significant increase in energy (stopped using caffeine), and not 'buzzy' energy either, I just feel like I have plenty of energy to do the things I want to do all day and have not taken a nap in over six weeks, nor felt like it. Other benefits have been significant mood improvement and sleeping much much better. It states to take it with food so I just get up and take it with a small banana or yogurt in the morning. Pill is small and easy to swallow and I don't find there is a taste when taking it. I don't know what typical benefits are (if any) for most people I can only report that I am very happy I started taking this supplement. Generally speaking people should talk with their doctor about their health concerns and questions.

I was suggested to get methyl folate by a doctor but I have side effects to EVERYTHING. Therefore, I didn’t want to start at a high dose Nor a high price! This methyl folate is great and I’m ready to increase my milligrams due to No side effects! Small capsule and easy to swallow! I know I’m helping my liver and homocysteine levels!

I liked that this product was easy to swallow and gentle on the system (no nasty after taste or smell) and affordable. I did feel better after about a week of taking them, my mood was better and i felt like i had more energy. Them being plantbased is also a bonus.
