Best Collar and great price.
This thing is amazing, have owned many high end shock collars this thing seems light and cheap but the charge lasts literally close to a month. I do not know how they did that. Also it seems light and cheap but it actually did a great job holding up to rain etc. I have to say its nice that the remote is lightweight cant even tell you have it. And it has so many settings and at max it will make you stand on your toes about like a Tazer. Too high for most dogs and will stop the most stubborn dog trying to fight another. That would be the only time that max would come In handy no one wants to be the one to have to step between two fighting dogs. Rest assured it will stop any fight on high. So that is nice also. I would recommend this thing to anyone.

**UPDATED REVIEW**It is a FANTASTIC collar!! Please read my updated review.
I have a Belgian Malinois that doesn’t want to listen so I ordered this collar in Dec 23, after reading many, many reviews on many, many collars. I really felt like this collar would be the best of the best and since my late husband was a veteran, I loved that it is owned by veterans. I received the collar very promptly and was excited to try it out. It is very well made. After reading and becoming familiar with the operation of the remote, I put the collar on my dog and adjusted to fit as instructed. Although his hair seems thick in the picture, it really isn’t that thick nor does he have an undercoat, I still opted for the longest probes. It wasn’t long before i had to put the collar to the test. Between the tone and vibration, the tone got his attention more. I certainly didn’t want to just test the shock until absolutely necessary. After a few days, he was after one of my chickens. The tone got his attention but didn’t deter the behavior. I finally resorted to the shock. No shock. Tried again, no shock. Increased, no shock, increased, no shock, increased multiple times and still no shock. To say I was disappointed was an understatement. When my son stopped by we tested the collar. At first it wasn’t working but after several attempts, it showed it was working so we put it back on him. This sequence of events happened several more times. By this time I was very frustrated so I took the collar off and put it in the box. I should have contacted the company but I didn’t. I love my dog and want him to be a good boy. He is really a great dog and is with me every step when I’m outside. I just need him to stop when I tell him no or come. So, yesterday, I got the collar back out, charged it, tested it & put it back on my dog. So I’m giving it another try. Here’s to hoping it will be different this time! I am updating my review! After the above review, the company reached out to me and apologized and asked if I’d like a replacement collar. I told them yes. Let me tell you, that was the best decision ever! This is an excellent collar! I actually had to shock my dog once when he was after my cat. He immediately stopped, came to me and sat down. I will tell you, the cat limped for a day but was ok. I have used the tone and/or vibration multiple times and he responds immediately. He stops and comes to me. To say I’m pleased is an understatement. The collar is durable! Jett is in water, mud, rain. It doesn’t miss a beat. I clean it when I take it off to charge it or if it’s too caked with mud/dirt. The charge lasts at least 3 weeks. I’ve never had it lose the charge, so I can’t tell you the exact time. The range is excellent too. I like that I can keep up with him when he’s out at night with the green flashing light. I’m so thankful I can give a 5 star update. Buy this collar!! You won’t regret it!!!

Great training addition, Easy to use
You can issue one of 3 cues (a tone, vibration or shock) by pressing the corresponding button (no need to switch a dial). The intensity of any of those cues is separately set, easy to see and easy to change. We trained our dog to understand that a tone cue means "Come". A vibration cue means "No, stop whatever you are doing". And the shock button is only used rarely as a follow-up, if the cue for "come" or "no" is not obeyed. We had already previously trained our dog to understand the word "Come" which we would almost always reinforce with a treat. Our dog also already understood the word "No" from previous training before we got the training collar. So when we got the electric training collar, we only needed to pair the tone with the verbal command "Come" frequently, until the dog understood that the tone meant the same thing as saying "Come". And whenever the dog was doing something wrong, we would say "No" at the same time we pressed the vibration button, until the dog understood that vibration means "No, stop that". This phase of training was done when the dog was close enough to us that we could physically intervene and stop the inappropriate behavior. We never used the shock during this initial training phase as it would be unfair when the dog didn't yet understand the new cues. Our dog only very rarely needs a short mild shock to reinforce the tone or vibration. (Which I tested on my own hand to determine if it was mild). The manual for the device also explains how to determine your dog's tolerance level, so that you can set the intensity levels for vibration and shock appropriately for your dog, which we followed. We principally use the device at a very large (20+ acre) Dog Park , when the dog is too far away to hear us call "come", since the dog can easily hear the tone on his collar and understand we want him to come back to us. Or if the dog is at a distance from us at the park and doing something inappropriate, such as jumping up on a person, we can issue a vibration to remind the dog to stop that behavior. It works great. We also like that the sound made by the tone button can be modified (not by intensity or loudness but rather by the sound itself). It can be a clicky sound or a pure tone sound - there are eight choices. This is particularly useful if you have other tones in your dog's life, for example, an invisible fence collar or a training clicker. You then can choose a tone on this device that is different from those other devices, to avoid confusion. Many of the less expensive training collars share a button for shock and vibration and you have to turn a dial to determine which cue you want to issue. This makes these collars much less useful as it slows your ability to give the appropriate cue relative to what the dog is doing. This training device also has the advantage of having a charger that can charge both the collar and the transmission unit at the same time via a USB port or via an electric plug. This means we can charge it at home or in our car or when on travel. The only 2 things I would change on this device are (1) I wish there was a protrusion on either side of the buttons to avoid accidentally pressing them when they are in my pocket (there is a lock feature but that button can be accidentally pressed also) and (2) I wish the collar did not make such a loud sound when you turn it off, (I wish it only vibrated like it does when you turn it on).

Good value for the money with some quirks
A good quality, affordable e collar option for dogs and training. I have a very bull headed German Shepard male. He’s a wonderful boy but can be stubborn sometimes. I used this collar to help with reward training to get him to heel and oven non-verbal commands. He still needs this collar on occasion. The distance and frequency work well. One of my complaints is that occasionally the remote will get accidentally bumped into the second collar mode and so when I need to make a quick correction for the dog and nothing happens. It’s not easily able to see which collar is selected “1/2” is the button and it’s on the front of the remote so it tends to get pushed somewhat often. Then because you can’t tell it’s on the wrong collar I will bump up the intensity of the shock because it appears that my dog is just being stubborn when in fact he’s not getting any stimulation at all. Kind of frustrating but otherwise it works well. I kept the silicone covers on for a long time and then he wouldn’t respond at all to the stimulus so I had to remove the silicone tips. The collar gets his attention now very much.

I had this for about 5 weeks, my dog is about 85 lbs, don’t make the mistake I did thinking since they 1 to 99 on the shock setting it should work for a bunch of different size dogs
