Works for pocket door for both soft open and close
These are awesome as one actuator handles both soft open and soft close. I used this on a Jubest pocket door which was too narrow to have both soft open and close from a competitor due to needing one actuator for both directions but this handled both on a 24" door just fine. I would also say that installation of this kit was easier than a competitors. Overall I'm thrilled as I didn't think it was going to be possible.

Bad mechanism
Works great until they fail. I have 11 pocket doors and 9 out of 11 soft close mechanisms failed. Once you trim out the door there is no way to get them out without ripping off the trim. If they fail then the door sticks out proud of the opening by 3/4 of an inch. No I’m stuck with 9 doors that don’t soft open/close.

5 stars for price! 3 stars because accessing the track for a reasonable price is impossible. I bought these because of the price but would have returned them if I hadn't missed the return window if I had known I wouldn't be able to find the tracks for under $200. And I just can't justify that cost for a track sadly
