Im not sure whats up with all the poor reviews, this is my 2nd one Ive got and it works just fine. There is a little learning curve and the computer settings have to be right to communicate but all the info is on the net if you will just read and understand what it does. It doesnt come with the xentry software and doesnt imply it does but thats available on several websites, I would strongly advise that if you want to use the xentry software you visit the mhhauto site and become a member. its cheap and you have access to a ton of sware and tutorials on all types of subjects. You WILL have to learn a little about it to use it, its the factory scan software, just get the "openport" version and you have all types of capabilities to code and access Mercedes modules and tweaks. Its not plug n play...takes a bit of effort but well worth it. you will need a laptop with a somewhat modern processor and 4gb min ram or it will be too slow. Lots of info on that on mhhauto as well.

Have bought a couple when I couldn't afford a tactrix but all have failed after first or second use. Wouldn't recommend even for the cost.... I would purchase the really deal and use something like affirm if money is the issue. Avoid at all costs, without a doubt you will run a high risk of bricking your ecu

installed vediamo on my laptop, was able to update the firmware in the dashboard, transfer the encoding and mileage from my old Mercedes w212 dashboard. It works as it should.

I was able to use this to connect to my Sprinter van. It was significantly faster at reading the modules and and live date than my MiniVCI cable. I haven't used this for any coding or flashing. I did not use the included disc for installing the drivers but you can not install them like a genuine openport. I downloaded the openport2_setup.exe(driver only) from the official site and extracted them with 7zip. Then used windows device manager to install the drivers directly to the device. I did install on a computer that does not connect to the internet which according to some info online can cause issues the second time you connect the device.

While trying to connect, the LEDs stopped working and the clone no longer registers in device manager. Not worth the hassle to save a few bucks.
