How do you get the simplest solution to a problem? Ask a kid! Ellie Jane'ss grandmother had a problem. She couldn’t easily read on her iPhone and iPad and keep them at a comfortable angle. An angle that enabled her to get an optimal view of the screen without giving her a stiff neck or sore wrists. 13 year old Ellie did some research and found that there were stands on the market but that they did not do the job well enough. So she got out her mother’s sewing machine and invented her own! The Padpod was born. Her Nana was delighted and now finds her Padpod indispensable. Ellie was soon very busy making Padpods because everyone else in the family wanted one too. And then all their friends. Ellie's triangle shaped bean bag is stable on your lap, lying in bed or placed on a table or desk. The iPad, Kindle or smartphone can be placed on it at any angle that is comfortable. Whether lying on your back or side. It can be used at work or home, in bed, in a plane or a car - anywhere! Ellie's Mum, Jenny, is an occupational therapist, so she helped Ellie refine the design of the Padpod to the highest standards of comfort and safety. The weight of the iPad, or whatever other item you are using, holds it in place on the padpod naturally. There is no need for straps or adhesives. You can use the Padpod to hold anything – your iPad, Kindle, smartphone, cookbooks in the kitchen or a novel in bed. It even works as a great pillow in the car. Simple, elegant and effective. Review: One Star - Did not stay put Review: Don't trust the pictures! - All of the photos make it appear that the ledge is a sewn in, permanent part of the pillow, and as if the shape was very solid. The ledge is not sewn in and the pillow is too light and floppy to hold my 8" tablet and keyboard safely in an upright position; it might work if I took the keyboard off, but that's not why I bought it. I've ordered something more substantial for the tablet and will use this for my Kindle, which it holds adequately, if not too securely. This would be a much better value if A) the ledge were sewn in instead of having to be adjusted each time it's used and B) it was much more weighty and therefore more stable.

Very light
Very light - wish I had read reviews & usually I do but have wanted one for a while and one late night I ordered this cut off label before I realized that ledge doesn't hold as well as it looks in picture - looks like a great firm triangle and is more of a lopsided circle

PERFECT STAND FOR TABLETS OF ANY BRAND!
This is the BEST way to stand and hold an iPad or any tablet. I'd looked everywhere. Found tablet cases w/stands, rigid stands, stands supposedly made for iPads and then I found this! Perfect in every way. I use my iPad sitting in a chair or on the sofa or in bed so using a conventional rigid stand doesn't work as they fall over. This PadPod squishes into any area, then holds the iPad securely and at any angle I like. I play games, do puzzles, read, etc. and the iPad sits quite steadily. So glad I have finally found something that actually works in any situation. Just love it! Kudos to the inventor, its the BEST stand out there!

I like having a rest for my iPad
I like having a rest for my iPad, but this one was hard to use. The ledge on which you are to rest the iPad does not remain a ledge, so while in bed I had a difficult time keeping my computer upright and usable.

Phenomenally effective iPad holder -- Wow!
When I received this in the mail, from Amazon, my first thought was, "I was ripped off" because there wasn't any slot for the iPad mini I bought it for. Then I realized that you just use the seam to hold the tablet, and tried it out. It is, surprisingly, absolutely perfect. It holds my iPad at the perfect angle, even lets me tilt it a little, and is very steady. I use it while lying on my side in bed, and it couldn't be better. Bravo! and amazing!

Works great, even for iPad 12.9!
I admit, I never review anything. Much less with photos and text. But this pad pod holds my 12.9 inch iPad Pro like a dream. I’m completely impressed!
