Works great
Took it out to the local pond and within minutes had a full bottle of plankton. Works great. Only concern is that there is no lids to the bottles, and the rope can easily disconnect from the plankton net.

Great net
Excellent net that I used to collect copepods in the Chesapeake bay.

Good net. Tow line & ring are too small.
The net worked fine, but I worry about the strength of the open-loop ring on the harness. It held OK up to 3 knots towing speed, but could be temporarily subjected to greater stress in field work. I have added a thicker tow line ( for better handling) and intend to replace the tow ring with a stronger closed ring or shackle.

Poor quality
Jar doesn't attach, cheap, first pull it broke off and was lost. Quality control is the issue, I'm certain that some work well, not mine.

The ring for attachment is steel and will rust completely away long before the net goes bad
It's a great set up except someone was trying to save money and did not use stainless steel (or aluminum or brass or other marine durable material) and instead used plain steel. It's a shame....everything else about this unit is a nice upgrade from cheaper "toy" grade versions.

The metal ring inside the fabric broke easily
After a couple uses the aluminum ring sewn inside the sleeve broke . It is aluminum, I'm pretty sure, so it will be very difficult to weld back together.
