I needed to block off a washing machine hose pipe at the machine end as I couldn't access the inlet valve to locally stop the water, so that I could remove the washing machine. Temporarily switched off the house water supply, fitted this to the hose with a bit of pfte tape and was able to put the water supply back on until the new machine arrived.

Not the right size
As another review said, the thread on this, as shown on the diagram, measures 1” not 3/4”. I had to buy the 1/2” version to get a 3/4” thread.

Its a 3/4" inch BSP fitting sorry what more can I say - apart from I was grateful that I found one.

Part was delivered promptly. Thread forms looked ok and fitted no problem. Added a bit of PTFE tape and a fibre washer just to be sure of a good seal.

Seems as described. Can't give 5 stars, but only because I have bought this in case of need and so have not had a chance to test.
