I am a big fan of Vega powder. But this time when I bought a big bucket, it's clumpy and tastes bad. I have just used 3-4 scoops and I can't return it as well. Disappointed tbh.

I’ve been using Vega Performance Protein + Recovery for more than a year and normally love it. The taste and texture are usually consistent and smooth when blended. However, I’ve noticed a concerning pattern. Two different containers I received through Amazon Subscribe & Save (in different flavors) both had the same issue: a noticeably grainy texture and an off taste, even when prepared the same way I always do. To double-check, I ordered a separate container directly from Amazon (not Subscribe & Save), and that one was completely fine, smooth and tasting as expected. This makes me suspect there may be a batch or storage issue specifically affecting the inventory used for Subscribe & Save. I’ve contacted Vega with the lot numbers so they can look into it and they said “we have received similar feedback from other customers regarding this lot.” I still like the product and the brand, but I’d recommend being cautious with Subscribe & Save orders until this issue is addressed.

I’ve been through a few different plant-based proteins (Orgain, Naked Pea), and Vega Sport is easily the best so far. It’s the smoothest, tastiest, and mixes well with fruit or even spinach. The sweetness covers that earthy “green” taste some people don’t like, though honestly I don’t mind it. Recovery-wise, I’ve noticed a real difference since switching to this. If you’re just looking for a standard vegan option, the regular Vega Essentials is solid too, but this one’s top tier. I’ll definitely keep buying it.
