This was pretty easy to install. I was able to put it into an existing doorknob hole easily with drilling only one hole. It was easy to teach my Kindergartener how to use it and now we both feel safer.

I bought this lock for my new fence gate with a powder coated metal frame, welded in lock box and cedar plank overlay. However, the supplied longer screws and the striker turning square bar for thicker doors were still not long enough to reach, therefore a reason to drop a star. My fix was to order longer M4.7 stainless screws off Amazon and I used two of the shorter bars cut to length and positioned their tabbed ends opposed in the striker to stay centered. The anti-rattle spring was not used.I did contact support when turning the handle would not retract the striker, but they only replied with instructions for a link to a non-English video that just showed an installed lock functioning correctly. However, another review complained of a little spring that drops out when setting the handle for door swing direction and that prompted me to review that step. Mine has no spring, but it seems I overlocked the arrow's orientation on the little box the square bar inserts into and turns from. Arrow Must Face Handle Direction!It is still a great lock at a fraction of the $850 the gate company wanted for their commercial grade lock! However, the instructions, probably translated to English, lacked clarity and support had a bit of a language barrier too, because they could not tell if my problem was resolved, even after a detailed account of what I did to fix it. But, I still recommend it as a fully mechanical security lock not needing batteries.

This is for the double sided lock. Only buy it if you want to torture yourself before returning it. Instructions had multiple parts lists that called parts different names depending on which list you looked at, parts names given in the steps that didn’t match either list, steps obviously missing throughout or that didn’t make sense, barely any pictures and the pictures in there there were no help and didn’t line up. Every time we made progress by thinking we figured out a sentence, then the next line was just as poorly written and confusing.

I bought this for the gate leading to our backyard. Installed it myself and it's been nearly a year now and it works great. Easy to program and operate. Because it's exposed to the weather, I did seal the edges where it sets on the wood with a sealant.

Instructions- poor. If you are not mechanically inclined, do not buy. If you expect not to modify it to make it work, do not buy. If you open it up to change from left hand open to right, take a look at how the little spring inside is installed. It will pop out in a heart beat. Then you'll have to try and figure out how it goes back in. I figured that out, modified the parts and installed it. It seems to be working just fine at this time. My neighbor paid $2000 to have someone install a gate he could open from inside or out. $44 seems better to me.

The media could not be loaded. Just like their logo says it is perfect. The lock was very easy to put together. The instructions were phenomenal the quality of the metal the thickness of the metal. I was so surprised I thought it was gonna end up getting a very thin piece of junk and it was spot on, the time that they took to package it to the work instructions to the parts and screws that came with it they thought of everything. I was extremely happy when I was able to quickly set it up. It doesn’t have Wi-Fi so you can’t connect it to the Internet for a remote unlock , that’s a downplay. The rest is perfect. You can control it with the app and it the app works really good. It detected it right away and added it to the system and I was able to very quickly open and close my door via app but you have to be close to it , the app is compatible with Alexa, but the lock is not. I’m not going to ding them on the Alexa Support because that’s my miss I assumed because of the app.
