Curls last for days
My curls have never been better. Just run through hair and blow dry. Curls last for days

Best yet…if you work with it!
I love this!! I have dry, fine, 3b curls that have seen any and every product out there for the past 50 years! This stuff finally adds a little shine and does make my hair appear almost healthy. I will say…ALWAYS rub it vigorously in your palms before adding to your hair! If I’m straight out of the shower, I add it as is after emulsifying in my palms. If I need to get some frizz back in line or skipping a hair wash day, I drizzle a little water in my palms before adding. Creates a wonderful slip when you don’t want to pull on the curls too much! I hope they keep it around, I need it! I use a lot of product in my hair and this stuff being concentrated is making it go a long way!

Day 3 Hair on Day 1
It certainly does what's promised. I was highly skeptical because it's a cream however after drying there is no sticky residue. There is some loss of definition so next time I will add a little gel. Overall I'm pleased as I am with all the DevaCurl products I use

It does what is advertised.
It smells so good and does add volume to my son's curly fine hair until he grows the rest of it out.

It really works!
I have been using Devacurl products for years and thought I would try this new one. I love it!! My hair is curly, but a little thin and it gets weighed down easily with heavy gels and creams and often lacks volume. If I don't use a gel or cream it is frizzy. I have been using CurlHeights for about two months now. My hair has volume and fullness, which it lacked before. It also is shiny and not frizzy. I don't use a lot of it and I have not found my hair to be crunchy. I think it looks natural and shiny with nicely formed curls and a flattering fullness. It has made a world of difference.

Not for me
Not good for my type of hair. Very thick and sticky and not useful for me. I have medium coarse curly/wavy hair. I love other deva curl products. Just not this one.

Not a cream, more of a texturizing paste
I feel like all the reviews for this item are fake, as no one seems to mention the fact that it leaves your hair feeling very dirty and that it is definitely more of a texturizing paste then a curl cream. I have 3A, fine high density curls that is just past my shoulders. It did help hold my curls (under a gel) and they had a nice bouncy shape, but the results of using a dime sized amount in SOAKING wet dripping hair was that even though it looks nice, it feels dirty. No shine at all, quite a dull looking finish, and a a dirty feeling. I am going to try it in different combinations to see if I can get something to work a little better for me, but from what I can tell so far, it should not be used as a curl cream. It definitely does not moisturize like a curl cream does. While it did add some volume (not root volume as it claims, but overall fullness) when I first diffused my hair, that volume didn’t really last and my hair looked kind of flat after a couple hours.

Love the shampoo/conditioner but this didn’t work well for my thin/hi pore/2c3a hair
So, I recently tried DevaCurl lo-poo and conditioner for the first time (after hesitating to try for years, mainly due to price point) and was blown away by my curls! I have very fine, dry, high porosity, 2C/3A hair (more 2C with the wrong hair products but could achieve 3A ringlets!). I loved my volumized defined hair. Note that I was using a different brand of curl gel but it was definitely the shampoo / conditioner combo that made my hair pop! So then I decide to complete the system but getting this DevaCurl volumizing curling cream. It’s my fourth time trying to use it and I guess I’m a bit disappointed enough to leave a review. I’d rate the shampoo and conditioner 4-5 stars (5 stars for functionality but 4 stars for the price point and small bottles…it’ll get expensive…) but this curling cream does not give me better volume nor perform better than other brands, in fact I prefer my previous brand. First it’s a dense cream… due to my thin and high porosity hair, I’ve never needed a lot of product. A quarter dollop has always been beyond what I need before the product weighs my hair down and my curls look wet & crunchy. Because of the texture, I can’t use a small amount and need to use more in order to distribute in my wet hair. It doesn’t distribute very well. I’ve tried it 4 times and even if I think I got it distributed, the products seems to weigh parts of my hair down, leaves some curls crunchy, while other curls remain frizzy. I won’t name my previous brand bc this is an honest review and I’m not promoting sales of other brands, but my previous brand was a runny gel formula that evenly distributes, light weight, and pairs perfectly with the DevaCurl shampoo and conditioner. My curls were popping! And the gel is 1/3rd of the cost. Which is great for me because I do love the DevaCurl S&C and will continue to purchase more, but it is a touch expensive for my budget. Maybe this curl cream will work for different curly hair types but not for me!

I use only DevaCurl or B&B. I saw this new ‘recipe’ for DevaCurl and thought I’d try it as it said it was for fine curls. Ok - that’s my hair. The scent is light, which I like. I did not like the feel of the product. I’m used to the defining cream and this is much, much different in texture. It is thicker and more ‘solid.’ That said, my hair loved the combo of shampoo, conditioner and styling cream. Curls were defined and frizz was minimal. I guess I’ll be putting up with the texture/feel of the product.

It is too heavy for my fine hair. I keep trying it, but it’s not my favourite curly styling product. The DevaCurl styling cream works better for me.

very thick and heavy

The texture of this product was congealed and not smooth like my other jar. I was disappointed that it clumps in my hair.
