Quality item
Needs a professional installation in my opinion. I am an experienced DIYer and didn’t even try it. Very good quality

Safety feature that's way to awkward to install!!!!
Firstly these are massively overpriced, there are many alternatives for cheaper than this. Secondly, and most importantly, if you have a short temper be prepared to swear.... a lot! The design of these is bad, like really bad, they cover the back of the speaker and are supposed to attach to the edge of the plasterboard that the recess for the speaker has been cut from, if anyone has tried to screw something or nail something to the edge of a sheet of plasterboard you'll know exactly how badly this works!!! They are so bad to install that if you do get the speaker and the hood aligned and into the recess you're never quite sure if the hood is actually still attached to the speaker, or is simply crumpled up behind the speaker. Now I'm not the smartest person in the world, nor am I an engineer, but two designs would be much better, 1/ have the fire prevention hood as part of the actual speak unit, already integrated. 2/have the hood fit to the speaker, even with a drawstring or elasticated seal to keep in place, then install the speaker into the recess, having it fit in the hole, held only by the clips on the edge of plasterboard, then try and get the speaker in - don't forget this is also in the ceiling not just on a table, so with your arms outstrected and your vision of the job impaired is frankly laughably bad design.

Good product, but a little on to pricy side
Does the job, but a combination of a round hood and four (Square) flaps at the bottom makes installing bore difficult than it had to be, not a big deal though as you only install it once. I have found and bought alternative fire hoods of the same material and the same property's as this one at almost half price, the only difference is the LITHEAUDIO sits deeper in the ceiling so better for deeper speakers and allows for a deeper base too, the also means that they need more space than the traditional 200mm joist in British houses. So the two I got is going for my home cinema in my extension, the remaining 20 speakers around the house will do fine with cheaper 200mm hoods
