I normally like a real candle feel which these aren't, however, they're good quality. It has 2 different options, 1 steady light and candle flicker and I really like the option of the hour timers because I'm a nightmare for turning them off 😂 The remote is easy to use. So calming to watch, I love the flicker effect and looks beautiful at my big front Georgian style window.

Got them to replace real candles on my table decoration, look wonderful, my 4 year old Granddaughter quickly worked out how to use remote, so very easy to use better than the real thing

Lovely candles

I bought these fake candles for Halloween, thinking they’d add a bit of spooky ambience without setting fire to the curtains, and let me tell you, they’ve delivered. Yes, they take two AA batteries (not included, because of course not, it’s the law of the universe that battery powered things never actually come with batteries), but once you’ve popped them in, they light up like a séance hosted by IKEA. I’ll be honest, no one’s mistaking these for real candles. You’re not going to fool a dinner guest into thinking you’ve gone full Gothic romance, but who cares? They flicker beautifully, they glow just the right shade of “mystical,” and best of all, they won’t melt, smoke, or set your cat ablaze. I set them up with the pumpkins, and they looked fab, moody lighting, no smoke, no melted wax, and no small fires. It's all over now, so I’m now using them on my bath. Nothing like lying there in the bubbles, surrounded by little faux flames, feeling like a witch queen in a plastic spa. And here’s the best bit, THEY COME WITH A REMOTE. That’s right. You can turn them on and off from across the room! Wowzers! You can even set timers. Because we're all living in the future, controlling candlelight like a budget Bond villain in fluffy pyjamas. All in all: 🕯️ They look great. 🔋 They don’t need matches. 🧙‍♀️ They make me feel powerful. 🛁 And they’ve turned my bathroom into a low-effort, high drama sanctuary. Would absolutely buy again, because nothing says “grown-up” like battery-operated candles that make you feel like you’re in a horror movie and a bubble bath ad at the same time.

We love candles in the house and probably buy at least 2 pillar candles per month, which can work out expensive. I thought I'd give these a try when I read the reviews and I have to say, I'm not disappointed. They are lightweight and very realistic, especially at night when they are lit. They require 2 AA batteries each (which are not included) and come with a very handy remote that controls brightness, flicker and On/Off. The ambience they create in the room is akin to real candles and you wouldn't really know the difference when you get used to them. A fantastic buy!

The candles look fine, the flickering is good and they fit in with what I needed. However the remote is like a slab of stone that does nothing whatsoever and is utterly useless. If anyone has a magic solution please share.

Excellent look realistic

I recently purchased these electronic candles after receiving a commemorative lantern that has an electronic candle inside. While shopping in a craft store I realized that I could purchase a lantern of my choosing and place these candles inside. What makes these candles superior to the other one that I have is that it comes with a remote that can be used to turn the candles on and off manually or they can be set to turn on and off automatically at 2/4/6/8 hour intervals. The value was phenomenal at only $9.99 for 2 candles. They look amazingly lifelike, and they function well, they can be set to a flicker or steady glow and the size was perfect for the 14” tall lanterns that I purchased. I don’t know how long the batteries last but I know that the battery life is longer than the one that I have that can only be turned on or off. These candles can also be used outside with caution, see instructions. This is by far one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. PS I use the lanterns inside at the foot of my stairs so that I can easily navigate the stairway at night without missing the last step. A lifesaver for those who are at risk of falling. Moreover the candles inside of the lanterns are quite decorative and they can be used to brighten up dark areas of your home as well as adorned with ribbons, foliage or flowers to create a festive look for many occasions.

Ohhhhh, these are wonderful! I’ve just ordered another set of 3 so at dark I can use these in my space and only these for light. This helps reset my circadian rhythms so my sleep is deeper. I wake up earlier and more refreshed. Plus the light they emit is a golden glow that adds a warm glamour at the touch of a finger with the easy to use remote. I’ve always loved real candles, but I’m a convert!

Worked as intended. One of the candles is dimmer than the others for some reason

The remote control will not open to place batteries in, I have removed the screw but it will not open, three of us have tried. Please advise.

Die Fernbedienung funktioniert einwandfrei und bietet die Möglichkeit, die Kerzen 2, 4, 6 oder 8 Stunden zu aktivieren. Am nächsten Tag schalten Sie sich pünktlich von alleine wieder ein. Mit zunehmenden Alter der Batterie, läuft der Timer etwas daneben. Aber mit 2 Tastendrückern ist das schnell erledigt. Die großen Batterien sind günstig und schnell gewechselt. Würden wir wieder kaufen!
