Good quality, Does what it's made for, Can even charge phones/laptops
This is a solid power supply. It works with the Pi as advertised, you can charge most USB-C chargeable things with it (e.g. your phone, laptop, etc) although I usually still recommend getting a dedicated power brick with a separate high-speed USB cable, as it can eliminate the chance of the cable fraying causing the entire thing to become useless. This does feel high quality though. It doesn't seem like it'll have any issues with fraying/splitting any time soon. It can get a little hot, but absolutely nothing of concern.

Reliable Power for Raspberry Pi 5 Projects
The CanaKit 45W USB-C Power Supply with PD has proven to be an essential accessory for my Raspberry Pi 5 setup. As someone who frequently works on Raspberry Pi projects, having a power supply that delivers consistent and adequate power is crucial, and this one does not disappoint. The 27W output at 5A ensures that my Raspberry Pi runs smoothly, even when I have multiple peripherals connected. The USB-C connector is sturdy and fits snugly, providing a reliable connection without any power drops or interruptions. It’s compact and doesn’t take up much space on my desk, which is always a bonus. One small suggestion would be a slightly longer cable for more flexibility in positioning, but overall, it meets my needs perfectly. Here’s a quick dad joke for a smile: Why did the Raspberry Pi get in trouble? Because it couldn’t resist a good power supply! Overall, the CanaKit 45W USB-C Power Supply is a must-have for any Raspberry Pi 5 user. It offers the power and reliability needed to keep your projects running efficiently, making it an excellent investment for any tech enthusiast.

Premium Product - Designed To Work For a Long Time
I already had two of these for Pi5 installs and then bought an Argon kit for my third one. The adapter they included was less than half the size of the CanaKit and it burned out in six months.

Cable too short
The cable is only 4 feet long. Get it with the on/off switch to get an extra 6 inches.

Great product
It is a very good usb-c with enough power to run a raspberry pi 5 16 gb at full. It does not get very hot either. It is really good for the price and it charges my phone very quickly.

Reliably delivers proper 5V/5A power to your Raspberry Pi5
Raspberry Pi5's require 5V/5A to run properly. You could have a 200 watt phone charger, or a large power-bank and odds are, neither-one will power the Raspberry Pi5, because they produce power at 5V/3A, which works with 99% of the gadgets you power on a day-to-day basis, but it does not work with the RPi5. If you want to use the newest Pi, you are have been constrained to buying the Raspberry Pi5 offical charger. This charger breaks the monopoly that Raspberry Pi created and allows you to power a RPi5 without issue. It is custom made for the Pi5, & it supplies 5V/5A. It's also a is a little bigger (more watts) than the proprietary charger, and thats good, because the RPi5 is very finicky and it will limit power output to usb ports very fast, at the slightest hint of an under-powered charger. This charger is a must buy if you want to work with the Pi5.

I bought this unit as a more compact charger for my Lenovo laptop which has USB Type C charging; it does this very well. I have used also with different smart phones for which provides very fast recharging.

Power supply works great, no issues with over clocking the rpi5. Looks and feels like a quality product, heavier brick and thicker cable.
