this is a decent little phone holder. all cast aluminum build but there is a little play where it tightens down. could just be the one I got as I gont have a second one to compare to, but I wish that was fixed

Simply the best in the market for rs4 dji gimbal

Perfect for group cell shots. Very sturdy construction. excellent value for the money. It was designed for use on a tripod or as a stand alone device. A very versatile addition to my photo gear.

Does NOT work with rs4 mini. It makes the phone sit too high to use and it won’t balance. Works with older gimbals though.

A couple of other reviews raised concern about slippage of the position adjustments. On the unit I received, this is not a problem - the joints are easily adjustable, but fairly tight, at least for now. I don't see slippage with an iPhone 16 Pro Max (in a case). Pulling open the spring-loaded clamp requires considerable force, when mounting a large phone. The way I do it: use one edge of the phone to push the extendable part open until the bottom edge clears the stationary part. One other thing to note: there is a 1/4" threaded hole for tripod mounting, but there is no 3/8" threaded hole.

I have two, they are a good product IMO... the clamp that holds the phone is very strong, great if you're riding a bike or something. However, it was too strong for casual use. So, on one end of the clamp there is a screw (that is the metal rod you see when stretched open). Each screw has a spring around it. Take one screw out, take the spring off, put screw back in... perfect force achieved!!!

Very rarely would I (personally) use something like this, but for people that use their phones in concert with a camera (using a birding app, perhaps) it's a clear winner. It's reasonably cheap considering the crazy sturdy near total metal build of the mount, has solid rotation and expansion of the actual holder, and is perfectly stiff. You can walk around throwing your camera wherever and this little cold shoe accessory will keep everything nice and secure. So yes, very excessive purchase- especially considering the price- for most, but if you need something like this there's really not much better.

Unlike the cheap plastic mounts that flex and wobble, this is made of machined aluminum alloy. It feels incredibly sturdy, and once you tighten the joints, it doesn't budge
