Really love how portable is
The case and the fact that it doesn't need to be plugged in to work just charged and it very compact - great to travel with or keep safe or just have in the corner without trouble. At first it was easy to set up but after using it a couple of times - the connection isn't consistent and can take a while to troubleshoot/ try loads of times. The print quality could be better, but it's ok for labels that have an easy code to scan. But its really not the best.

Second phomemo
I've got two now! I've got a small phomemo label printer, and now I've got this larger thermal printer for A4 as well. I'm very happy with the performance with the small label printer, and I was very pleased with the ease of using the app. This bigger printer with a higher price tag is also at the same quality level, and I would expect no less for the outrageous price of £180, and it claims that is a discount right now down from £230, which I cannot possibly fathom pig for a brand you've never heard of. However, it really does live up to the hype. It works with all different software types however I've only tested it with an iPad and with my PC for Windows, it also works with my Android phone using the app, the same app coincidentally that I use for the small printer, and you just have to connect it. It claims to be compact inkless Bluetooth convenient and easy to use, and honestly it does take those boxes. It's way smaller than a large chunky desktop printer, it doesn't use ink because it uses thermal paper, and of course it has the Bluetooth. Convenience is fully subjective because it depends on whether or not you need something for commercial use, and if you have a team coming to service your printer, they're not going to mess around with this anything, but for personal use at home on your office desk or for your hobby business, this will work perfectly, because it is very user-friendly, and if it's only you that is using this, you can really tailor it for your specific needs. I do not like the fact that it is pink, but at least it's not outrageously ugly pink, and I can make do with the subtle tone on the plastic. The weight of the device is surprisingly high, it's a very heavy chunky thing that will require a desk, so I wouldn't be putting this on a shelf. It does double-sided printing if you need it to, and I do like the small pouch however a bigger pouchter where I can put some excess paper as well would have been better. The only downside is that it doesn't print very good on thicker paper, and the big chunky battery means you will struggle to take this through customs or flights because some have restrictions on the size of batteries that you can take. For me however this is not a problem, because it sits on the desk and lets me do my hobby prints whenever I want.

Ribbon glue itself to your print
Absolutely awful product. After only printing one thing, which didn’t even complete, the ribbon glued itself to the thing I was printing and have now had it all come out so can no longer unless I pay out more mo ey to print. I have 2 other printers of the same brand and never had a provlem

Clever portable mono printer
Phomemo offers an extensive and confusing range of thermal printers, with no easy way of comparing them and choosing one. I’ve certainly been impressed with the printers of theirs that I've tried though. They produce at least three A4 models. I’ll leave you to figure out the differences because they’re not obvious to me. Certainly, for anyone who travels and needs to print on the go, it’s hard to beat this one. It couldn’t really be smaller or lighter. And, since it’s rechargeable, you don’t even need to take a power cable with you. Bluetooth should mean you don’t need a comms cable either, although I haven’t been able to test that. You get a useful drawstring pouch in the box (I’m surprised it isn’t mentioned in the listing). They offer a semi-rigid zipped one separately for about £16 or as an upgrade to the printer at time of order for about £12. It probably makes a good investment. You wouldn’t want to use this for everyday printing, because thermal paper is expensive (around 10p/sheet). It’s quite hard to find, too. Ten sheets are in the box but you’ll soon need more. It has a different feel to plain paper but don’t confuse it with the cheap stuff used for till rolls– it’s much nicer than that and is said to resist fading. On the plus side, of course, the printer doesn’t need ink cartridges, so overall cost per page may be comparable with inkjet. Since it’s thermal, output is inevitably mono only, and with graphics that may not be up to the standard of those from laser or inkjet printers. It’s perfect, however, for printing estimates and quotes, invoices, letters, etc., when away from base for any reason. If that’s what you need, you're unlikely to do better than this printer from Phomemo.
