Very rarely I write reviews but once again I'm impressed by Live colour! I'm actually going to praise 3 shades from the range in this review. 😁 From a few years now Mango twist was my colour. It's an amazing shade itself as well! But lately I've been wanting a change and decided to go with Ruby glaze. I am in love! ❤️ So vibrant and glossy, I can't stop looking at it! Covered the Mango twist shade like a dream. For a hair of my length I recommend getting 3 boxes of dye to be on the safe side, I almost didn't have enough 😅 On the front I have a bleached money piece that I did with Mauve kiss. Chef's kiss! 🤌🏻❤️ I'm including pictures for visual reference of how the dye covers. You can see 2 shades of Ruby glaze, because the money piece was thicker but I wanted to thin it a bit. So it's a good visual on how Ruby glaze covers on top of both old colour and bleached hair to about a level 9. Mauve kiss is on top of level 10. Other reviews that suggest Ruby glaze doesn't fully wash are right - it was forever running the water red when rinsing. I'm guessing its going to do so for quite a long time. Be careful with you fabrics - pillows, clothes etc. Otherwise I can't fault the brand! For the low price point it's marvellous! ❤️

I love this colour so much. I previously bleach my hair to get maximum vibrancy and it works so well. 2 boxes is just enough to cover my medium, wavy hair. I’ve had trouble with some dyes as my hair doesn’t always allow the colour to get through therefore wasting money however with this one I’m lucky it’s a 70% chance of staying in my hair longer even with washes. Very happy and glad it comes with aftercare conditioner!

I used the Amethyst Chrome on my hair which is a medium brown with highlights. Some of the brown is dyed over the highlights and I had this done 2 weeks ago by a hair dresser using salon dyes. I wanted to use Amethyst Chrome for purple highlights and I was very surprised with the results. Exactly what I wanted! I have had this done previously, but done by a senior stylist at a credible salon who used a different purple dye and it was horrible, so decided to try this kit and do it at home. Firstly, my husband applied the dye onto parts of my hair which we selected together and wrapped those sections in strips of kitchen foil. Secondly, we did not apply the dye onto the roots/scalp, only close to them as I was worried it would stain my skin purple. I did stain my hand purple by accident, but found the dye came off my skin after having a shower. Lastly, I left the dye in the foil for 60 minutes, not 30 minutes which the box states. Once the 60 minutes was up, I rinsed my hair in warm water in the shower until the water colour from my hair ran clear. Then I washed my hair in sulfate free shampoo, it’s important to do this as sulfate shampoos are known to strip colour (head and shoulders are the worst!). For me I use living proof curl shampoo. The conditioner included is excellent. Every week I soak my hair in Jamaican Mango & Lime Original Black Castor oil and leave in over night before washing. I found the conditioner that came with the dye kit gave me similar results, yet I had only left it in my hair for 30 minutes. If you use the Castor oil method, be warned the oil soaks into pillow cases so I use a case I’m not bothered about and it washes okay. The end result, vibrant colour that did not bleed into the highlights that I have in my hair. I will for sure be using this again. I think it’s important to add, there is no such thing as permanent purple dye (as hair dresser informed me). It will just stay in longer than semi permanent. It will eventually wash out without a trace, but to keep it in as long as possible, always use sulfate free shampoo and don’t wash you hair in hot water, try to keep it cool. Please note, phone struggled to capture the colour accurately, but it is much nicer in real life. Hope this review helps.

This hair dye is a really nice colour and very easy to apply, which makes the process simple and fuss-free. The quality is good and the end result looks lovely. However, it’s not very effective on grey hair, as a few greys nearly always get missed. It’s also worth being careful if you have a sore, sensitive, or dry scalp, as it can irritate and sting. Overall, I would still recommend it for the colour and ease of use, just with those points in mind.

Vibrant colour blue. I have a mix of brown hair with some (ok a lot) grey ! It covers well over greys as well as the brown hairs. I have used this a few times and it works well

My regular go to hair dye! I have dirty blonde hair so it always leaves me with a subtle pink tinge which is what I'm going for. It lasts a really long time due to the lightener inside and is very easy to do. I use 2 boxes as I have shoulder length hair.

It was such a lovely vibrant colour. It does fade a bit after say 10 washes depending on what shampoo you use. It was easy enough to put on and didn't drip. The smell was okay too. Everyone commented on how shiny my hair was.
