Great new taste discovery!
Simply delicious! I bought it to make Korean beef bulgogi but it’s going to be used in a variety of dishes. Love the heat level and “umami” it will impart to dishes. The balance of heat/salty/sweet is just superb

Simple and Easy to use
Love cooking with the Gochujang paste, so many ways you can use it. The texture is thick and has a good amount of spice.

More please!!!!
This stuff is just pure magic I use it to marinate meats I use it for sauces I spread it on bread for sandwiches it’s all good and all happy all of the time it’s got a little bit of heat but it is not hot enough to stop even a tender foot from having their second bite. I highly recommend it

needed for Korean cooking!
I started experimenting with Korean cooking and have been having a blast and loving the flavors! Gochujang is now a main staple in my pantry because of the incredible spicy, sweet, delectable flavor! Unopened, this will last on shelf for a long time; it will have less longevity once opened, but with proper covering and refrigeration, it will still last quite a wile in the fridge! Super easy to use, store, and enjoy!

Good taste
Good taste, only complaint is it's only a couple of months before expiration date.

A mass market but authentic Gochujang paste
First of all, I am not in any way an expert on gochujang paste brands. I decided to buy my own supply of it to replace the little packets of it that you get in home meal kits. Blue Apron has a number of dishes that uses gochujang. Like most of those meal kit companies, Blue Apron gives you little packets of sauces to add to their dishes. So, some of the notable Asian sauces and pastes I decided to get my own and discard the included packs from Blue Apron in order to get more authentic tastes. One of the first things I noted about this gochujang paste is that it contains wheat flour and corn syrup rather than glutenous rice flour. I have read that gochujang made the traditional Korean way with glutenous rice flour is more expensive. So, this gochujang paste is more of a mass market gochujang paste than a traditional Korean gochujang paste. Nevertheless, I bought this brand because I have read that it is widely sold in Korea and is probably very close to gochujang paste made in Korean the traditional way. I wanted to compare it to the gochujang paste that Blue Apron sends. So, I squeezed out a blob of the gochujang paste that they sent on a paper plate. Then I dipped out a blob of this CJ Haechandle Gochujang paste. The first two notable differences is that the CJ Haechandle Gochujang paste is thicker and much darker in color than the gochujang paste supplied by Blue Apron. Then when I tasted the two, the CJ Haechandle Gochujang paste is significantly hotter and has a bit more "complex" taste. (I'm not sure "complex" is the correct word, but there was a slightly more full-bodied taste that for me is difficult to describe.) I also thought that the gochujang supplied by Blue Apron seemed a little saltier. The bottom line is that this CJ Haechandle Gochujang paste is probably a lot more authentic than many of the cheaper name brands sold in the United States. Most of the reviews I have read seem to agree with that viewpoint. Thus, someone who wants a gochujang paste that tastes like that used by Koreans in Korean and doesn't want to spend a lot of money to get it can buy this product.

Eric Kim's Gochujang Caramel Cookies!
If you are searching for gochujang in order to make Eric Kim's Gochujang Caramel Cookies (published in the NYT), this is the perfect gochujang for that task. It contains no garlic. This is my second order since those cookies are a family favorite. It is of course great for other cooking as well, but around here the cookies rule. I have had no issues with its shipment/delivery.
